Athletes like Danica Patrick and Maria Sharapova looked glamorous arriving at the Nokia Theatre, as did actresses like Hayden Panettiere and Olivia Munn.

Seth Meyers hosted last night’s ESPYs, a star-studded celebration of the year in sports.

His opening monologue was (obviously) athlete-centric, with jokes about penis picture enthusiast Brett Favre and others.

But Hollywood also played a role, with some ribbing of Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian, and reaction shots from the likes of Justin Bieber and Ryan Reynolds.

The ESPY Awards will be live this year for the first time since 2003, so why not have a veteran of live TV host the ceremony?

And that’s exactly what’s going to happen when “Saturday Night Live” star Seth Meyers hosts the 18th annual ESPY Awards from the Nokia Theatre in L.A. on July 14.
