HBO has set its summer schedule, including the return dates for three popular series.

“True Blood” will begin its 12-episode fourth season on Sunday, June 26. The vampires-among-us show has become an enormous hit since debuting in 2008.

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” comes back for a 10-episode eighth season on Sunday, July 10. This year, the show switches from its usual Los Angeles locale to New York.

“Entourage” opens its eighth season on Sunday, July 24.

It’s the show’s final year.

“Blake Lively is single and ready to mingle – with Adrian Grenier,” begins a piece in the current issue of Star.

According to the tab, Lively, who recently split with her “Gossip Girl” co-star Penn Badgley, “seemed flattered by Adrian’s avid attention” at a Vertu phone party in New York.

The Star has a so-called “source” who says, “As Blake was chatting with Seal, Adrian came over, and the three started talking about the elections,” but when the singer left, “That’s when things got interesting.”

The tab claims the “Entourage” star was “glued to Blake’s side for most of the night, and he made sure they exchanged phone numbers.”

This is a great story, except for one teensy weensy oversight by Star.

Lively and Grenier NEVER met or spoke to each other at the Vertu party.

It’s true Lively talked to Seal, but multiple source tells Gossip Cop the actress was with her sister Robyn Lively and brother-in-law Bart Johnson - and NOT with Grenier.

A rep for Lively adds the Star story is a “blatant lie” and “complete fabrication,” confirming to Gossip Cop that Lively and Grenier “never saw each other” at the party.

Oops.

“Robert Pattinson Is Going To Be On Entourage!” exclaims a giddy Perez Hilton.

After providing a “SPOILER ALERT,” the blogger announces, “There is a BIG surprise in store for Twilight fans – Robert Pattinson is slated to guest star!”

According to Hilton and other outlets, “Robert Pattinson guest stars as Ari’s most difficult client ever” on the episode airing this Sunday, September 12.

“Can RPatz handle ‘comedy’?” Hilton wonders.

Well, we know Pattinson can do comedy, ever since we saw him “bothered” in a tree with Jimmy Fallon last spring.

But here’s Gossip Cop’s spoiler: Perez Hilton does comedy, too, albeit unintentionally.

Robert Pattinson has NOT filmed a cameo for “Entourage.”

A source close to the star tells Gossip Cop exclusively that it’s “not true.”

In addition, a production source tells us “he’s not” on the show, and had “no clue” as to how the rumor started.

“Entourage” will be ending next year.

It was announced yesterday that the HBO ensemble show, starring Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Dillon, and Jeremy Piven, will finish up this season, and do about six more episodes next year before wrapping it up.

“Next summer will definitely be the final season of ‘Entourage,’” said HBO’s programming president, Michael Lombardo.

But that may not be the end of the boys.

At the Television Critics Association fall TV previews, Lombardo said the hit series’ creator, Doug Ellin, “wants to write a film, but wants to do it if it makes sense for the story.”

According to the National Enquirer, “Entourage” star Jeremy Piven took a shot with Kim Kardashian at an NBA playoffs game last month.

The supermarket tabloid reports that Piven “has had his eye on the buxom brunette for a while — and decided to make his move when he spotted” her at the game.

A so-called insider alleges, “Kim has done a cameo on ‘Entourage’ and knows Jeremy socially… he came on to her by offering her a bigger part on his show.”

So did he score?

Nope.

He got rejected.

“Talk to my mom — she handles me,” Kardashian supposedly said before turning around and walking away.

Foul!

“Jeremy was flabbergasted,” claims the insider. “He felt totally dissed.”

Time to slam (dunk) this…

“It never happened,” Pivens rep assures Gossip Cop, adding, ”He neither saw nor spoke with Kim.”

Another loss for the Enquirer.

Well, Gossip Cop investigated, and here’s what we learned.

Without giving away too much of the plot, Simpson just wrapped doing a guest gig on “Entourage,” in which she played herself.

One on-set source tells Gossip Cop exclusively that Simpson’s “caught between Ari [Jeremy Piven's character] and another agent trying to steal her.”

Another insider calls the scenes, “super funny.”

In Touch proves the irony of its title on a weekly basis.

Today the tab insists ”Entourage” star Kevin Connolly is in a “secret romance” with Stacy Keibler of “Dancing With the Stars” fame.

According to the mag’s “eyewitness,” Connolly supposedly “got cozy” with Keibler during his March 5 birthday party at Philippe in Los Angeles.

And even though In Touch says the two arrived and left separately and admits that Keibler “still seems to be seeing her longtime beau Geoff Stults,” the tab still chooses rumor over reality. It quotes a so-called “insider” who swears, “Kevin and Stacy have been seeing each other for months, but still aren’t ready to take it public.”

Of course, In Touch has no worries about taking pure speculation “public,” even when there’s nothing to it.

A source close to Connolly tells Gossip Cop there’s no truth to the Keibler relationship rumor, and confirms that she’s still very much with Stults.

“New Couple Alert: January Jones & Jeremy Piven?” questions Star magazine on its site.

Like a number of other outlets, Star speculates that Piven and Jones are possibly a new couple, all based on one thing – a picture.

According to the tabloid, “Entourage star Jeremy Piven lost the Golden Globe to Dexter’s John Lithgow… but he may have landed an even better prize,” meaning Jones.

And the site claims that “Mad Men” star January Jones was “openly flirting” with Piven first at an HBO party, and then “Later that night, they were photographed leaving Chateau Marmont arm-in-arm.”

But before you start picking out teacups from the registry, you should know that Star conveniently left out one detail — after they walked outside the Chateau Marmont, they went their separate ways.

Also, a rep for Piven says, “They are just friends.”

Gossip Cop will keep a tab on the two to see if they hug-it-out in the future.

Darn that Perez Hilton. With all the correcting we have to do of his stories, we’re going to get Carpal Tunnel Syndrome by the end of the day.

Yes Hilton, who’s blocked Gossip Cop on Twitter because we point out all his mistakes, has done it again. In a piece he lifted from In Touch – without fact-checking – Perez claims Lindsay Lohan “has been sneaking around and spending time with Entourage actor Kevin Connolly!”

“Cop Blocker” Hilton further writes, “The two have known each other for years from hobnobbing around Hollywood, but they hooked up recently at an after-hours party at the home of Leonardo DiCaprio last month and now they’re thinking about taking their relationship to the next level.”

For the record, after that party a month ago, Perez tried to link Lohan to DiCaprio – and we corrected him then, too.

Sorry to ask this so late in the game, but why does anyone read Perez? 

Instead of just cutting and pasting stories like Perez, Gossip Cop reached out to a mutual friend of ours and Connolly’s, who said the link between the “Entourage” star and Lohan is complete fabricated. And Lohan herself told Gossip Cop, “Hahahaha! Nooooo,” and then asked, “What’s wrong with people?

Earlier today, there was a video on YouTube of Matt Damon freaking out on “Entourage” star Adrian Grenier. While many of us realized it was a goof, a few sites actually took the joke seriously. In fact, Blippitt wrote, “Looks like Matt Damon is the latest celebrity to have a ‘freak out’ caught on video.”

In the footage, Damon is directing a public service announcement on the set of “Entourage” for his charity OneXOne.org, but Grenier keeps messing up his lines. By Blippitt’s account, Damon “ends up flipping out on Adrian in front of everyone… Jeremy Piven is conveniently on-hand to try and keep the peace, but it doesn’t work.”

Blippitt then writes, “Some sources are claiming that this may have been faked, although we haven’t found any evidence to back that up.” What?!

OK, Gossip Cop can tell you that not only is that bit – which does promote his charity – on the show “Entourage,” but it’s also just the first part of a two-tiered gag.

Sorry, we’re not going to spoil that.
