Natalie Portman in “My Fair Lady” Remake Rumor Shows Tabs Doolittle Checking
February 17th, 2010
Star magazine is just off key with its item about a remake of the musical My Fair Lady.
The tab “has learned that Natalie Portman is campaigning to play Eliza Doolittle, the role immortalized by Audrey Hepburn” in the 1964 release. According to a so-called “source,” Portman “worships Audrey,” and has observed that her lack of vocal experience shouldn’t be a problem. “Natalie can’t sing,” says the source, “But she keeps pointing out that in the original movie, Audrey was dubbed.”
There might be a bigger obstacle, though. Despite Star’s supposed scoop, Portman has no interest in playing Doolittle.
