The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will open on December 14, 2012.

The Hobbit: There and Back Again will open on December 13, 2013.

The films, now being filmed by Peter Jackson in New Zealand, star Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins and also feature (deep breath) Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood, Stephen Fry, Lee Pace and an ensemble of dozens.

Prequels to Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the two Hobbit movies follow Baggins as he quests to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from Smaug the Dragon.

But you knew that already.

The Beastie Boys are back with a new album, Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2, which is slated for a May 3 release.

To build buzz, they’ve assembled some pretty impressive talent – including Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Seth Rogen and Elijah Wood – for “Make Some Noise,” a star-studded video that’s part of a larger short film packed with an incredible number of cameos.

Peter Jackson has posted a 10-minute video taking viewers behind the scenes as filming begins on The Hobbit, the two-movie epic scheduled to hit theaters in 2012 and 2013.

Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett and Elijah Wood will lead a cast of dozens (thousands?) in this prequel to The Lord of the Rings saga.

Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Usher are going to sign off Twitter, Facebook and other social media – all in the name of charity.

The celebs are part of a new campaign called “Digital Life Sacrifice,” which is set to raise money on behalf of Keys’ charity, “Keep a Child Alive.”

On Wednesday, which is World AIDS Day, the stars will leave their millions of fans on various social media platforms, only to return when $1 million is raised.

“It’s really important and super-cool to use mediums that we naturally are on,” says Keys.

Additionally, other stars including Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest, Jennifer Hudson, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams, and Keys’ husband Swizz Beatz have filmed ads of themselves in coffins – dubbed their “last tweet and testament” – to represent “their digital deaths.”

“It’s so important to shock you to the point of waking up,” explains Keys, adding, “It’s not that people don’t care or it’s not that people don’t want to do something, it’s that they never thought of it quite like that.”

The money raised – via text messages – will help families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.

“True Blood” stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer tied the knot today at a private home in Malibu, confirms Gossip Cop.

The couple said “I do” under a tent in front of “True Blood” creator Alan Ball and their co-stars Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, and Carrie Preston and her “Lost” star husband Michael Emerson. Elijah Wood also attended the nuptials.

Shortly after the ceremony, Moyer stripped out of his dark suit and jumped into the Pacific Ocean.

Moyer proposed to Paquin in Hawaii, and they announced their engagement last August.

Elijah Wood dating Dianna Agron from “Glee”?

OK! is reporting, “It seems like the castmembers of The Romantics are getting, well, quite romantic!”

According to the weekly’s website, one of the film’s stars, Dianna Agron, has “moved on” from Adam Brody – huh? – to another co-star, Elijah Wood.

Pause.

Agron and Brody were never a thing – they’re simply co-stars, and they were photographed grabbing Starbucks one day. Hardly a romance.

An “insider” tells the mag, Agron is “all over Elijah. She’s grabbing every second she can with him when they’re not filming and flirting like crazy.”

What else?

“She’s hugging him, feeding him yogurt… it’s a bit much,” adds the source.

What else?

“He seems pretty uncomfortable and he’s very aware of what the paparazzi can see because they’re shooting outside,” says the insider.

Anything else?

Not only does a source close to Wood tell Gossip Cop that the link to Agron “is absolutely false,” but there’s also something else… Wood is still dating long-time girlfriend Pamela Racine.

So the mag’s story is, well, not OK!
