Prince William’s cousin Zara Phillips married rugby star Mike Tindall in Edinburgh today.

The royal wedding drew William and Duchess Kate, whose own nuptials brought the world to a halt in April, as well as Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Harry, Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice and other dignitaries.

The world’s favorite royal sister-in-law is on the cover of Tatler magazine’s August 2011 issue, her black-and-white picture surrounded by brightly colored flowers.

“Pippa seems almost to have become the whole point of the recent royal wedding,” states the accompanying article.

Prince William and Duchess Kate heard from hecklers in Montreal this weekend, as small crowds of demonstrators chanted “Go home parasites!” and “We will never bend!” outside the children’s hospital and cooking workshop visited by the royal newlyweds.

The anti-monarchist protesters, many of them voicing support for a separatist French Quebec, resent Canada’s ties to Britain, whose Queen Elizabeth II is still the North American nation’s official head of state.
