The Disney Channel is pulling two episodes of “Shake It Up” after Demi Lovato called them out for joking about eating disorders.

As Gossip Cop reported, Lovato was furious with her former employer for airing material that seemed to make light of the issue, quoting a character as saying, “I could just eat you up… well, if I ate.”

“Dear Disney Channel, EATING DISORDERS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT,” tweeted the singer-actress.

Now Disney is taking action.

Demi Lovato is blasting her former employer for a joke about eating disorders on the Disney Channel show “Shake It Up.”

Lovato, who has publicly shared her struggles with bulimia, took issue with a character saying, “I could just eat you up, well if I ate.”

Lovato said she finds it “really funny how a company can lose one of their actress’ from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke[s] about that very disease.”

“Glee” star Chris Colfer just sold a pilot that he wrote to the Disney Channel.

It’s called “The Little Leftover Witch,” and it’s based on Florence Laughlin’s children’s book of the same name. The plot revolves around a witch whose broom breaks and is taken in by a family after she falls from the sky to the ground.
