The stage and screen actor succumbed to complications from heart surgery on Thursday at age 65.

Daniel Radcliffe says it’s “very strange” that people are focusing on his gay sex scenes in the film Kill Your Darlings, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday.

The formerĀ child star, who stars as Beat Generation poet Allen Ginsberg, has several scenes in the movie during which he engages in masturbation and gay sex.

“It’s interesting that it’s deemed shocking,” he told MTV News.
