Chaz Bono hopes to buy a penis soon.

The former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant has opened up to Rolling Stone about his plans to complete his gender reassignment surgery.

“I could get a phalloplasty, which builds the phallus from a donor site on your body,” says Bono. ”But I’m leaning more toward metodioplasty. It’s a procedure that uses what you already have down there… which has grown larger from the testosterone.”

The procedure would result in a “fully functional” appendage.

Costs depend on a number of factors.

“There’s different ways to do the surgery, from real basic to more and more options,” explains Bono, adding, “It’s like a car.”

Bono has already received testosterone treatments and had a mastectomy as part of his physical transition.

Of course, the surgery is really only part of Bono’s evolution.

He explains, “For me the life transformation has already happened.”

For the fifth time, Kathy Griffin will join Anderson Cooper on Saturday to anchor CNN‘s coverage of the New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square.

Given the comedian’s penchant for off-color jokes and controversy, Griffin’s involvement always makes Cooper a little… nervous.

On Friday, the two pals previewed their plans for the confetti-strewn scene in New York tonight, and Griffin revealed that she will recreate one of the past year’s greatest moments – Nancy Grace’s nip slip.

Also, she calls dinner companion Ryan Seacrest “the devil.”

“They leave this relationship with great love, respect and affection toward one another,” a rep for Bono tells Gossip Cop.

The spokesperson adds, “No further amplification will be forthcoming and they ask that you respect their privacy at this time.”

He and girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones are expecting a baby girl in the spring, reports People.

She is due in the spring.

It will be their first child.

The couple began dating in 2009.

A veteran of the Iraq war, Martinez recently starred on “All My Children.”

Don’t expect Karina Smirnoff to be dancing down the aisle anytime soon.

The “Dancing with the Stars” pro, who announced in October that she and baseball player Brad Penny had postponed their upcoming wedding, has reportedly called off her engagement, says E!

The couple began dating in the fall of 2009, and got engaged the following year.

Smirnoff recently blamed the wedding’s postponement on her busy “DWTS” schedule.

Just last month, she and partner J.R. Martinez won the coveted Mirror Ball trophy.

Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Smirnoff to confirm the breakup.

Smirnoff previously called off an engagement pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

J.R. Martinez, who won “Dancing with the Stars” on November 22, received congratulations from none other than Defense Secretary Leon Panetta.

In a letter written by Panetta to Martinez, the Defense Secretary offered his “most sincere congratulations,” and added, “Over the course of this competition, your spirit captivated the nation and your victory sends a powerful message about the strength and resilience of our wounded warriors.”

In 2003, Martinez was an Army infantryman in Iraq when his Humvee hit a roadside bomb, resulting in him nearly dying and sustaining burns to more than 40 percent of his body, including his hands and face.

Panetta wrote to Martinez, “In the eight years since your injury, you have done extraordinary work assisting other wounded warriors and raising public awareness of the challenges our service members and their families face when they return home, and I would like to commend you for your tireless efforts in this arena.”

“Thank you for your continuing service, for your sacrifice,” concluded Panetta.

But that’s not all.

On Friday, the Defense Secretary personally called the Iraq War vet turned soap opera star.

During the conversation, Martinez expressed pride in his service to the country, and credited his military experience as a factor for helping him win “Dancing with the Stars.”

Panetta ended their 10-minute call by inviting Martinez to the Pentagon for a upcoming face-to-face meeting.

Rob Kardashian, who was on the verge of being booted off “Dancing with the Stars” a few times, nailed a perfect score in the finals on Monday.

Kardashian and his partner Cheryl Burke wowed the audience and judges with their freestyle dance.

It was the reality star’s first flawless performance during the entire dance competition.

With its latest cover story, Life & Style went all in – and got called out.

The magazine shouts that Scott Disick “betrayed” Kourtney Kardashian by having an “affair” with Kristin Cavallari.

But it’s actually Life & Style betraying its readers.

The tabloid builds a story around the idea that Disick and Cavallari hooked up in 2009, and that Kardashian’s lingering jealousy over the alleged fling led to arguments that have imperiled their (supposedly) imminent nuptials.

Life & Style fills out its pages with lots of tangential claims such as how Kardashian “banned” Disick from cheering for “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Rob Kardashian in person until fellow competitor Cavallari had been eliminated.

It’s all fascinating, except for one tiny problem.

Cavallari and Disick never had an affair – and Cavallari herself said so on Wednesday.

“It’s 100 percent not true,” the reality star tells an entertainment show.

But Cavallari, who’s reconciled with Jay Cutler, wasn’t done sounding off on the magazine’s tactics, tying them to the recent theatrics surrounding Kim Kardashian‘s split from Kris Humphries.

“I just think, what convenient timing for [the Kardashians] with their show premiering next week and with everything that’s going on for Kim, I feel like they’re trying to take the heat off her,” says Cavallari.

She also expresses frustration with the Kardashians seemingly allowing Life & Style‘s allegations to go unchecked.

“When there’s a big story like that, they always call you and ask if you want to comment and clearly none of them denied it, so it’s very… it’s really disrespectful to me, and I’m in a committed relationship,” explains Cavallari. “It’s disrespectful to me and Jay and I think it just says a lot about their character.”

Cavallari hasn’t been afraid to slam bogus rumors before, and, given Life & Style‘s recent bumbling with the Kardashians, we’re inclined to see this as yet another big tabloid stinker.

Chaz Bono has “four years to live,” claims the National Enquirer.

Yes, having already shamefully misdiagnosed Cher, the tabloid just sentenced her son to death.

The Enquirer cites a “noted longevity expert” who believes Bono “will be dead by the end of 2015 if he continues on his current life arc.”

Dr. Patrick Wanis – the same man who’s predicted imminent deaths for Kirstie Alley, Dr. Phil and Whitney Houston – now shares his “expertise” on Bono, claiming the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant’s gender reassignment surgery “could eventually take a heavy toll.”

The Enquirer‘s doctor speculates about the effect of hormone treatments on the heart and liver, and then outrageously leaps to the conclusion that Bono’s “emotional trauma from gender confusion” could lead to suicide.

Wanis drops in allusions to Bono’s weight, his romantic history, his alleged tension with Cher, the risk of diabetes, prescription drug effects… basically, a laundry list of possible contributors to an early death.

His “grim prognosis” is that Bono “could be dead by age 46,” which Wanis calculated “using his sophisticated longevity guide, the Life and Death Calculator.”

Ah, the Life and Death Calculator.

The one that’s made Wanis look foolish and mean-spirited time after time after time.

In any case, Bono isn’t tolerating the magazine’s outrageous death prediction.

His legal team has sent the Enquirer a letter demanding that the tab print a retraction for the “blatantly false and defamatory” “smear campaign.”

Gossip Cop hopes the tabloid does the right thing.

David Arquette was eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” tonight in a shocker.

The actor and his partner Kym Johnson were unexpectedly booted from the competition.

Many observers thought Nancy Grace would be sent home after receiving low scores from the judges on Monday.

“This whole thing has been incredible,” said Arquette of his stint.

He added, “I just love all the people I got to know and dance with. This production is top-notch. It’s been an amazing experience, and I’m very grateful.”

The audience was less gracious, booing their displeasure with the result.

As a rattled nation recovered from news of his sister’s divorce from Kris Humphries, Rob Kardashian bravely ventured onto the parquet floor to compete on “Dancing with the Stars” tonight.

While Kim herself wasn’t in attendance, Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick and Mason cheered Rob as he and his partner, Cheryl Burke, tangoed a riff on “The Addams Family” for the DWTS Halloween spectacular.

It remains to be seen whether their moves will keep the pair on the show past this week.

But for at least a few minutes after a long day for the family, the Kardashians had something to celebrate.

Afterwards, Rob addressed the Kim split.

He said, “Everybody, obviously, is not in a good mood, but we support anything my sister deals with, and that’s all we can do.”

The singer and Boyz II Men will perform their Christmas tune “Fa La La ” on the show next Tuesday, November 1.

An insider confirms the news to Gossip Cop.

The track was recorded for The Biebs’ upcoming Christmas album, “Under the Mistletoe,” which will also be released on Tuesday.

“Taylor Armstrong Close to DWTS Deal!” reads the giddy headline of a Perez Hilton story which he picked up from an equally unreliable site that’s read by virtually no one.

Still, without even fact-checking, Perez gobbled up the webloid’s story that the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star is “super close to sealing a deal for the upcoming season” of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Perhaps the rationale was that it’s worth reporting anything about Armstrong in the wake of her husband Russell‘s shocking suicide, even if there’s absolutely nothing to the rumor.

Last week, there was the 100% untrue report that Armstrong had been fired from “Housewives.”

Regardless, since Gossip Cop is the only site that separate facts from fiction in celebrity reporting, we looked into this, and a source connected to the show assures us, “It’s total bulls–t. Not true.”

Like Armstrong’s supposed “deal,” Perez’s story and similar tabloid reports are not even “close.”

According to Star magazine, David Arquette has given Courteney Cox an “ultimatum” approximately a year after the couple separated.

“He still loves Courteney, but he feels that it’s time for her to decide once and for all if they are going to get back together,” says a so-called “insider” for the tabloid, adding, “If not, they should just cut each other loose for good.”

Star goes on to mention how Arquette has been working on his sobriety and doting on daughter Coco to show his estranged wife that there’s still a future for them as a couple.

But Star claims he’s getting antsy.

“David knows he can’t really become involved with another woman yet because his heart still belongs to Courteney,” explains the tab’s “insider.” “He feels that if she could just tell him whether their marriage has a chance – or if it’s completely over – they could end this awful waiting period and move on with their lives.”

In reality, however, it’s Star that’s creating the only tension here.

As Gossip Cop reported previously, Arquette is happily dating Christina McLarty.

There’s no will-they-or-won’t-they drama with Cox and Arquette whatsoever. They’re raising Coco together, working alongside each other on TV projects, and are fine.

A source close to Cox tells Gossip Cop the Star ultimatum story is “totally made up.”

Apparently, Star magazine thinks Chaz Bono ought to be knocked down a few pegs, even after his elimination from “Dancing with the Stars.”

“Chaz Bono Life in Crisis,” reads the headline of a speculative new Star story.

According to the tabloid’s so-called “sources,” Bono “is more miserable than ever as his relationships with both his mother and his fiancée crumble.”

Star says mom Cher‘s vocal support for her son – which she demonstrated before, during and after his DWTS run – is all for show.

“Chaz’s relationship with Cher is as strained as ever,” insists a tab source. “And it’s obvious when he talks about her – it sounds as if Cher is a business associate, not a mom.”

Meanwhile, claims Star, Bono’s relationship with girlfriend Jennifer Elia is “just as tumultuous.”

“Jennifer has been a total nightmare on the set,” explains a DWTS “insider,” adding, “She’s totally insecure and always gives Chaz a hard time about his bond with [his dancing partner] Lacey Schwimmer – even though Lacey is a professional and would never hook up with Chaz.”

The mag’s source continues, “It’s a constant stream of verbal abuse, and Chaz just takes it.”

Actually, there’s just been a “constant stream” of bogus tabloid speculation about Bono and his loved ones.

Just last month, for instance, Star wrongly claimed that Bono and Elia were planning to have a baby together.

It looks like if you don’t have a child when Star magazine wants you to have a child, all of a sudden your relationship is deemed “tumultuous.”

As for Bono’s relationship with his mom, the tabs have been trying to fabricate off-camera drama – and it just isn’t true.

A rep for Cher assures Gossip Cop that she’s “proud” of him and “had a great time” when she visited “Dancing with the Stars.”

Cher blasted Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman, the male judges on “Dancing with the Stars,” shortly after her son Chaz Bono was eliminated from the competition on Tuesday.

After first tweeting, “Congratulations Chaz I’m SO PROUD OF U ! This was YOUR Quest… & u Followed your Star,” the singer tore into the two guys.

She was particularly upset about Tonioli having compared Bono to a penguin before he was booted from the show.

“I didn’t know who u we’re b4 which I guess is a blessing!” wrote Cher, before directing her wrath at Toniolo, “but why insult him b4 he Goes! Maybe Rudeness & Flapping Arms take the place of TALENT!”

Goodman, who had been in an heated exchange with Maksim Chmerkovskiy the night before, didn’t escape from Cher unscathed.

She tweeted, “As for the Older Gentleman… every Show Needs A Grumpy Old Man!”

Cher did, however, thank Carrie Ann Inaba for her “Gentility,” and said she was “beautiful inside & out!”

The performer then recapped in a tweet, “The Chick is beautiful & Polite! The Men suck.”

Cher later noted, “I’m Good! Needed 2 Vent! It Would Have Been Blast if Chaz Stayed, but He NEVER Danced b4,so it was a Great Dream 4 a Great Guy!”

Maksim Chmerkovskiy was more ready to rumble than rumba on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

Having received just 20 out of 30 points for his and partner Hope Solo‘s performance to “Season’s of Love” from Rent, the professional dancer vented after judge Len Goodman told Solo, “I always feel like there is so much there, and for some reason it hasn’t come out… This is your worst dance of the season.”

After Chmerkovskiy strongly disagreed with Goodman, the judge shot back, “I’ve been in this business for 50 years,” to which the professional dancer replied, “Then maybe it’s time to go!”

And it continues even beyond that.

Mark Ballas may have a new lady in his life.

The “Dancing with the Stars” pro, who split from “American Idol” star Pia Toscano last month, is reportedly dating singer-dancer Tiffany Dunn.

Ballas took Dunn to Kim Kardashian‘s 31st birthday celebration at the Marquee in Las Vegas on Saturday, although judging from one of Dunn’s tweets, Ballas is trying to keep the relationship under wraps.

Dunn tweeted on Sunday, “Turn n burn trip to Vegas 4 @kimkardashian birthday! Was soo fun!! Thank You @_____ no one will know. Paparazzi was no where 2 b found.”

The couple has been together for about a month, reports Life & Style.

According to Star magazine, Julianne and Derek Hough might be fan favorites, but “they’re less than popular on the set of Dancing with the Stars.”

The tabloid’s sources claim the brother and sister have “alienated” cast and crew members with their “snobby behavior and diva demands.”

Julianne left the program in 2009 but recently returned to perform with her Footloose co-star Kenny Wormald.

“Everyone behind the scenes is upset that the show is so centered around the Houghs,” explains a so-called “insider” for Star, adding that irritated personnel have “jokingly retitled the show Dancing with the Houghs!”

A different source insists that fame has gone to Julianne’s head, with producers “generally fawning all over her” during her stint last week.

Meanwhile, Derek is supposedly “always requesting special treatment” and walking around “like he’s Brad Pitt,” says Star. “His attitude is wearing thin on the rest of the cast and crew.”

Uh-huh.

First of all, we find it hard to believe that Julianne Hough could return to “Dancing with the Stars” for one night and be a completely different person than the pro well-liked by fans and colleagues alike for many years.

Meanwhile, no one involved with DWTS could corroborate Star‘s premise that either Hough had “alienated” anyone else there.

A source close to the show tells Gossip Cop the brother and sister duo “aren’t divas in any way, shape or form” and rejects Star‘s allegation that anyone demands “special treatment.”

Cher is “on the verge of a mental breakdown” because she “can’t come to terms with her daughter’s life as a man!” claims the National Enquirer in a particularly nasty piece of tabloid speculation.

The magazine insists that the iconic singer’s “emotional turmoil has reached the breaking point” since her transgendered son Chaz Bono began competing on “Dancing with the Stars.”

“The truth is, Cher hates that Chaz went on ‘Dancing,’ and she’s never been able to bring herself to love Chaz as a man,” alleges a so-called “source” for the Enquirer.

According to the tabloid, Cher’s appearance in the show’s audience only masks her inner anguish.

The “source” explains, “It made her sick to her stomach and she’s losing sleep, not eating well and headed toward a mental breakdown,” because, as the Enquirer says, Cher “still can’t come to grips with her little girl growing up to become a man.”

We’re not sure who’s having trouble coming to grips with Chaz’s transformation, but it’s definitely not Cher.

“This could not be further from the truth,” a rep for Cher exclusively tells Gossip Cop. “Cher is really happy for Chaz and proud,” adds the spokesperson emphatically. “Cher had a great time at the show and is fine.”

Cher, of course, has been supporting her son on his “Dancing with the Stars” stint from the very beginning, long before she actually came to see the competition in person.

She’s not just putting on a facade for television cameras, and she’s certainly not on the verge of a “breakdown.”

The Enquirer is dancing around the truth, doing its best to ignite controversy where there’s really only a mother’s genuine love.

Chaz Bono drew inspiration from Rocky Balboa, Richard Simmons and his famous mom tonight, putting together what the judges considered his best performance with partner Lacey Schwimmer to date.

As Cher cheered from the audience, Bono and Schwimmer turned up the heat with their boxing training montage-themed Paso Doble.

Bono’s progress after a couple of lackluster weeks thrilled the judges, even making Carrie Ann Inaba shed a few tears.

“In the true spirit of Rocky, no matter how many knocks you take, you keep coming back, you keep fighting and you keep getting stronger,” said Bruno Tonioli.

After giving her son a standing ovation in the ballroom, Cher tweeted, “OMG! I WAS CRYING! I WASN’T EXPECTING 2 B SO NERVOUS! BROKE MY BRACELET CLAPPING! IM SO PROUD.”
