“We were set upon by pro-Mubarak supporters, punching us in the head, attacking my producer… my cameraman,” Cooper said on the air. “The crowd kept growing and throwing punches, kicks, trying to grab us. It was pandemonium.”

A tweet claiming to come from CNN shook up the Internet this afternoon with the announcement, “Breaking News: actor Morgan Freeman has passed away in his Burbank home.”
But the information was NOT true, and it did NOT come from CNN.

While hosting Comedy Central’s “Night Of Too Many Stars” – a star-studded event on Saturday which benefited autism education programs – Jon Stewart urged audience members to be generous with their donations. And in doing so, the funnyman took a swipe at former CNN newsman Rick Sanchez, who recently called him “a bigot.” The “Daily Show” host wasn’t the only big name comedian to poke fun at Sanchez who fired from his job after suggesting on a Sirius XM radio show that CNN and other outlets were run by Jews.

Anderson Cooper will host a syndicated daytime talk show.
The one-hour program will launch in fall 2011 and be based out of New York.
According to the press release from Warner Brothers, Cooper will bring “his passionate voice and personal perspective to a topical daily talk show” that “will cover social issues, trends and events, pop culture and celebrity, human interest stories and populist news.”
