Julia Roberts’ L’Oréal advertisement for Lancôme has been banned in the United Kingdom for excessive airbrushing.

A Maybelline campaign featuring Christy Turlington was also pulled.

The watchdog Advertising Standards Authority upheld complaints from politician Jo Swinson, who argues against “overly perfected and unrealistic images” of women in advertisements.
