Almost as soon as William and Kate’s wedding was over, outlets began their feverish speculation about a possible romance between Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton.

A supposed “love triangle” emerged, involving Middleton’s beau Alex Loudon and partially fed by the media’s distaste for Harry’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Chelsy Davy.

There was never any actual Pippa/Harry fling, however, which is what makes Life & Style’s story that they’ve now been “torn apart” by Kate so preposterous.

“The claws are out as party-pals-turned-arch-rivals Pippa Middleton and Chelsy Davy battle for Prince Harry’s heart,” announces In Touch in one of the week’s most predictable – and bogus – stories.

Now that Prince William and (the former) Kate Middleton’s nuptials have passed, frenzied tabloids are trying to create a war between the bride’s popular sister and Davy, Harry’s longtime girlfriend.

Last week, Star hit the ground running with a ridiculous “love triangle” story, and now In Touch has taken the baton.

Apparently, some outlets are taking tongue-in-cheek chatter about Pippa Middleton and Prince Harry a bit too seriously.

According to Star magazine, “William’s brash brother” is “caught in [a] love triangle with Kate’s sexy sister.”

Sigh.

We just knew this rumor was coming.

Prince Harry watched his big brother get married today, so naturally our thoughts turned to the still-single royal’s own future nuptials.

Chelsy Davy is Harry’s longtime on-again, off-again love, of course, but we can’t help but wonder what it would be like if he ended up cutting the cake with Pippa Middleton.

Just days after Star magazine wrongly claimed Prince William’s bride-to-be, Kate Middleton, was unexpectedly pregnant, a News of the World rumor that Prince Harry has split with longtime girlfriend Chelsy Davy is now everywhere.
