Chelsea Handler isn’t known for showing off a serious side, but the comedienne did just that on “The Rosie Show” Wednesday when she cried while talking about her late mother.

Handler recounted to host Rosie O’Donnell how she went to visit a psychic to talk about her mom, as well as her deceased brother, who died when she was just 10 years old.

She described being told that whenever a memory of her lost relatives pops into her head, it’s because they have “planted” it there at that moment.

“It’s a nice way to understand that they’re still with you,” Handler said, adding that she feels “my mom is always around me.”

Handler also recounted her mother, while dying in the hospital, telling the E! personality to “take care” of her siblings.

“It was a really emotional moment,” Handler told O’Donnell. “I think that’s probably when I became an adult.”

A major feud might be brewing after Chelsea Handler and Joan Rivers SLAMMED each other on Howard Stern’s radio show.

On Monday, Handler told Stern, “What the f**k do I care about Joan Rivers,” adding that she didn’t appreciate some of what Rivers said on stage about her at a recent event.

Rivers struck back on Tuesday – to say the least.

Appearing with her daughter, Melissa, the comedy icon said Handler made it big by “f**king the president” of the network.

“She’s fine, she’s ordinary, she’s not a genius, she’s an ordinary girl that was f**king somebody high up in the industry and they gave her a break,” continued Rivers.

Adding that she thinks Handler is a “drunk” who’s not “particularly funny,” Rivers issued a warning: “Don’t you come after me, you whore!”

“Jen’s Secret New Year’s Elopement!” reads a headline from OK! magazine, which claims Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are planning to tie the knot in upstate New York some time this week.

A so-called “insider” for the tab divulges, “They are both incredibly excited; Jen can’t believe it’s actually happening!” noting, “They’re writing their own vows, and she’s already rewritten hers countless times.”

According to this same source, eloping to upstate New York is ideal for Theroux because “his friends and family are mostly on the East Coast, so they can have a party right after the wedding.”

The alleged “insider” also claims to know all about Aniston’s “classic” wedding dress, describing her top two choices as “a caramel shift design and an off-white column style, both by Carolina Herrera.”

“Jen’s longtime hairdresser, Chris McMillan, will do her hair, and Justin’s pal Terry Richardson will take photos,” adds the source.

On the wedding guest list, says the mag, are “Jen and Justin’s mutual pals like Ben Stiller and his wife, Christine Taylor, as well as Robert Downey, Jr.,” and Aniston’s close friend Chelsea Handler.

We’re starting to wonder if OK! is also on the guest list, considering how many intimate “details” about the alleged ceremony they claim to know.

Now that’s a laugh.

Regardless, a rep for Aniston tells Gossip Cop, “It’s all made up.”

“Brad Pitt backed out of a TV interview with outspoken Chelsea Handler after both his lover Angelina Jolie and his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston blew a gasket,” reports the National Enquirer.

According to the tab, Pitt was slated to appear on Handler’s E! show, “Chelsea Lately,” to promote his upcoming films, Cogan’s Trade and World War Z, but had to cancel because neither Aniston nor Jolie wanted him to be a guest on the program.

Jolie was against his appearance, says the mag, because she’s “still furious” that Handler called her a “homewrecker” during a stand-up routine last December in New Jersey.

And Aniston supposedly gave him “an earful” because she doesn’t want him to “buddy up” to her close friend.

The Enquirer quotes a so-called “insider” revealing, “Brad had to beg off the invite with the lame excuse that he couldn’t make it due to ‘film commitments.’”

Actually, the only “lame” thing is the tabloid’s report, which conspicuously neglects to mention when Pitt was allegedly to appear on “Chelsea Lately.”

That’s because Pitt was NEVER scheduled to be on Handler’s show in the first place.

A rep for the show tells Gossip Cop, “Brad was never booked nor was any offer made for him to come on.”

“The whole thing is made up,” adds a Handler spokesman.

“Jennifer Aniston‘s beau, Justin Theroux, is ordering his love to stop spending time with her BFF Chelsea Hander,” reports Star magazine, which last week ridiculously claimed the couple was feuding over Aniston’s desire to get Botox.

According to a so-called “insider” for the tabloid, “Justin thinks Chelsea is crass and a terrible influence on Jen.”

Aniston is livid her man is trying to dictate her relationships, says the so-called “insider.”

“No one tells her what to do,” states the alleged source, adding, “She wants to hang out with Chelsea just to show Justin he can’t control her.”

Seriously?

Not at all.

Star is simply desperate to create drama in Aniston’s new romance, and apparently couldn’t think of anything better than this supposed friendship feud.

A source close to Theroux assures Gossip Cop the tab’s story is “clearly ridiculous.”

Chelsea Handler is “desperate to save her problem-plagued” NBC sitcom, “Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea,” reports the National Enquirer, which goes on to claim that she’s now “begging” Jennifer Aniston to help her out.

According to a so-called Aniston “insider,” Handler invited “Jen to her LA home to brainstorm ideas with writers and producers. She’s even gotten her to read scripts and provide feedback.”

The Enquirer‘s source adds that “Chelsea asked [Aniston] to make a few cameo appearances on the first season, [but] Jen told Chelsea she’s won’t do TV unless it’s her own project.”

Seriously?

Nope.

A rep for Aniston tells Gossip Cop the Enquirer story is “completely false.” And despite the tab’s claim that Aniston’s reading scripts and consulting with the sitcom’s writers, her spokesman maintains, “Jennifer has nothing to do with that show.”

Jennifer Aniston‘s hands and feet were immortalized today outside of the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, and boyfriend Justin Theroux cleaned up for special ceremony.

Theroux, who often sports a thick beard, shaved off his bushy facial hair for the occasion.

The actor-writer even slicked back his hair and put on a tie for Aniston’s big day.

Among the other celebs who were in attendance when Aniston put her hands and feet in cement outside the theater were director Brett Ratner, Jason Bateman, and the actress’ close pal Chelsea Handler.

Sophie Monk has called off her engagement to French businessman Jimmy Esebag.

The Australian model/pop singer shared the news with Chelsea Handler during a “Chelsea Lately” taping.

Handler asked Monk about being engaged to “that old guy,” to which the Aussie responded, “I’m newly single.”

She gave no reason for the split.

Monk announced the engagement only six weeks ago.

“Boozing Jen Headed to Rehab!” declares the headline of a story about Jennifer Aniston that’s promoted on the cover of the National Enquirer.

Of course, if you look carefully, the fine print below the tab’s exclamation that she’s “headed to rehab!” are the words “pals urge.”

OK, so now that it’s already established that she’s NOT headed for rehab, is there even reason to think Aniston needs it?

According to the Enquirer, “Friends have grown concerned that the Emmy winner’s drinking is becoming a serious problem.” In addition to “hosting weekly vodka parties” with Chelsea Handler, the tab says Aniston’s ”friends” fear she “has been hitting the bottle even when she’s alone.”

This is a pretty serious allegation, so Gossip Cop looked into it.

First, Aniston and Handler do NOT host weekly vodka parties. But more importantly, Aniston does NOT have a “problem” with alcohol, and NO ONE is urging that she head to rehab.

An Aniston source tells Gossip Cop, “It’s more BS… The Enquirer creating problems where there are none.”

Ever since Chelsea Handler‘s epic rant against Angelina Jolie during a standup show a few weeks back, there have been rumors circulating that Jennifer Aniston was not happy with Handler over the incident.

Now, the National Enquirer is claiming that Courteney Cox is warning Aniston to steer clear of the comedienne.

According to the tab, “BFF Courteney Cox, who sources say calls Chelsea ‘trailer trash’ keeps reminding Jen: ‘I TOLD you so!’” regarding her friendship with Handler.

“Courteney told Jen: ‘You know how bad that makes you look?’” a so-called source tells the tab regarding Handler’s blasting of Jolie.

So did Cox really step in to warn her friend about the funnywoman?

NO.

A source close to the “Cougar Town” actress tells Gossip Cop the Enquirer piece is “ridiculous.”

Readers should be “warned” about the tab’s false reporting.

“I Can’t Stop Loving Brad,” reads a Star magazine cover about Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt.

Inside the tabloid it’s claimed that after Aniston and gal pal Chelsea Handler threw back a bunch of cocktails recently in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the “Friends” star “broke down” and told the “Chelsea Lately” host “everything that went down during [her and Pitt's] split.”

The tab then recounts how Pitt and Aniston “met up last summer at Brad’s Plan B Entertainment offices,” and quotes an “insider” as saying that because they’re allegedly in contact, “She wonders if someday they might get back together.”

Added into this journalistic junk pile is Star‘s assertion that Handler wanted to show Aniston that “she’s on her side,” and so she lashed out at Angelina Jolie during a December 3 performance in Newark, NJ, calling Jolie “a homewrecker” and “a f***ing b**ch.”

Strike one: As Gossip Cop previously noted, Handler’s ribbing of Jolie has been part of her act for a long time.

Strike two: Pitt and Aniston NEVER secretly met up in his office, as we reported a couple of months ago.

Strike three: “No such conversation ever took place between Chelsea and Jennifer,” says a source in the know. With the exception of Aniston and Handler being together in Mexico, NONE of the other details are even remotely accurate.

Our trusted source reiterates, “The whole story is a complete fabrication.”

Exactly two weeks ago, 50 Cent tweeted, “I love me some chelsea handler.”

But is it reciprocal?

Though neither side is saying anything, it certainly appears there’s a budding something.

Two nights ago, Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent looked “cozy,” said a spywitness at the New Orleans jazz bar Blue Nile. They were also spotted earlier at another New Orleans place called Mimi’s.

And possibly in response to 50 Cent’s tweet, “If you a man and your over 25 and you don’t eat pu**y just kill your self,” Handler tweeted a photo of a black doll “performing” oral sex on a blonde doll with the caption, “Oh, dear.”

Gossip Cop will continue investigating, but for the time being, a rep for the E! talk show host says, “She is saving her comments for her own show.”

Despite the New York Times calling Chelsea Handler‘s hosting of the 2010 Video Music Awards “the worst in [the] show’s history,” she’s certainly happy with her performance.

And she even tweeted her satisfaction and an expletive directed at Perez Hilton, who said on Twitter that he “would have done a better job than Chelsea did!”

Uh, he can’t even do his own job.

Anyway, Handler responded to Perez, “oh, f*** off. I had a blast and the show [was] awesome last night. Bomb? Your life is a bomb.”

Far from bombing, the show scored huge ratings. With 11.4 million viewers last night, the awards show drew its largest audience since 2002.

Handler tweeted later, ”Just got word…Highest rated vma’s since 2002. Good job, mtv! Good job, kiddo.”

Host Chelsea Handler encountered Lohan backstage while racing to avoid ass slaps from well wishers.

“So the MTV Video Music Awards will be on Sunday, September 12^th, and everyone knows that when you think of rap music and hip-hop, you think of ‘Chelsea Lately,’” said Chelsea Handler at the top of her E! show tonight, adding, “And that’s why I will be hosting them.”

Sometimes we suspect editors at gossip rags clear space on the floor and spread out the head shots of several dozen Hollywood actors. Then one editor puts on a blindfold, spins himself dizzy, and tosses a wet noodle. The actor whose photo gets hit with the noodle is Jennifer Aniston‘s new “love interest.” At least for the next seven days.

If that isn’t the strategy, whatever they’re doing is equally absurd.

This week, the lucky guy is Paul Rudd, a former movie co-star (and “Friends” guest star) with whom Aniston has fallen “in love,” according to the National Enquirer. The two have been friends for more than ten years, reports the tab, and Rudd has been there “to offer his support when each of Jen’s relationships has crashed and burned.”

But Aniston now sees Rudd as more than a confidante, claims the Enquirer. “Jen has opened her heart up to Paul, and she’s allowing her feelings to veer from platonic to romantic,” says a “source” for the magazine.

Rudd has been married to film exec Julie Yaeger since 2003, and the couple has a son. He’s “clueless over Jen’s feelings,” so Aniston is “bound to wind up feeling hurt and rejected again.”

Maybe the gang at the Enquirer fixates on Aniston being “hurt and rejected” because it’s how they feel whenever Gossip Cop points out how dreadfully, laughably, sloppily wrong they are on romance rumors every single week.

Or maybe it’s how they feel when Gossip Cop has the nerve report accurately on Aniston, whereas the Enquirer is off insisting that she’s writing the script for a “Friends” movie (wrong), quitting Hollywood to “make a new start” in Hawaii (wrong) and prowling for men with Chelsea Handler (wrong).

Whatever is hurting the Enquirer staff’s feelings, Gossip Cop also has to reject this week’s lame Aniston “love” report.

“Jennifer Aniston has a new partner in crime – funny acid-tongued talk-show Chelsea Handler!” reports the National Enquirer.

How so?

According to a so-called “insider,” Aniston and Handler “were friends, but they’ve bonded recently over both being single and looking for love.”

The tab further quotes its “insider” as saying, “Rather than slog through the dating scene alone, Jen and Chelsea have teamed up.”

How so?

“The single friends… are prowling for men together – hosting speed-dating parties, hunting for eligible men at dog parks and the gym and vetting potential mates for each other,” writes the mag.

Curiously, the Enquirer doesn’t have one single detail of any “speed-dating parties” or of them “hunting for eligible men.”

That’s because the story is “BS,” says a mutual pal of the two ladies.

The confidante tells Gossip Cop, “They are friends, but do not see each other that regularly. Needless to say they have never prowled!”

Maybe the Enquirer should prowl for more facts before publishing some of their stories.

But it’s all for a good cause.

The teen sensation and veteran journalist are teaming up for a telethon to aid the crisis in the Gulf.

“Disaster in the Gulf: How You Can Help” will air on CNN on Monday and, in addition to Bieber, will feature a star-studded roster including Cameron Diaz, Lenny Kravitz, Ryan Seacrest and Chelsea Handler. Sting is also expected to perform.

Seacrest will be hosting a “Social Suite” online for those who wish to participate via social media.

Proceeds will go to the National Wildlife Federation, the Nature Conservancy and the United Way.
