“Lindsay Lohan Has ‘Crazy’ Bathroom Encounter With Pro Boxer,” reads the headline of a piece on X17Online.

Just as a refresher, X17Online’s track record with Lohan is a tad spotty.

This is the same site that similarly – and wrongly - claimed Lohan was drinking at the Chateau Marmont in January.

It’s also the blog that incorrectly linked her to Tom Hardy (not true), model Petey Wright (wrong), and John Mayer (nope), to name just a few blunders.

Anyway, in X17Online’s latest effort, the site says former Olympic champion Audley Harrison “had an encounter” last weekend with Lohan at the Chateau Marmont while he was in the bathroom.

According to the hapless blog’s so-called “source,” “Lindsay was acting so crazy. She was drinking vodka and Red Bull and kept going in and out of the men’s bathroom every ten minutes… banging on the men’s cubicle door calling for some guy named Andrew. It happened to be the pro boxer Audley Harrison. He came out of the bathroom and was telling everyone about it and laughing at her.”

Wow… as in wow, X17Online managed to be WRONG again.

First, Lohan was NOT even at the Chateau Marmont last weekend.

Gossip Cop confirmed that with sources at the hotel, as well as with Lohan who told us exclusively, “I haven’t been to Chateau in weeks.”

Additionally, Lohan has been clean and sober and working hard on herself for months.

As Lohan so succinctly put it, this latest X17Online story is “bulls**t.”

Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn enjoyed an intimate dinner at the Chateau Marmont last night, a source on the scene reveals to Gossip Cop.

“They sat in the back and looked at ease,” says our eyewitness, adding there that weren’t any overt public displays of affection.

Gossip Cop hears Penn has also made a few visits to the L.A. set of Johansson’s film, We Bought a Zoo.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart attract attention wherever they go, so their rumored joint appearance at a pre-Oscars Chateau Marmont bash last Friday would have been news no matter what.

But Us Weekly raises the ante, claiming the Twilight twosome “threw their hands in the air like they just didn’t care,” spending all night on the dance floor, where one “fellow reveler” says “they definitely kissed a few times.”

According to the magazine’s source, the highlight for the couple came when DJ Jesse Marco played Jay-Z and Alicia Keys‘ “Empire State of Mind” (“They went nuts for [it]!”)

That sounds pretty cool and all – but did it actually happen?

Gossip Cop received many questions about Pattinson and Stewart’s supposed attendance at the soiree, and while it’s possible the duo danced the night away, no one has been able to confirm that they were there.

The event’s own photographer tells Gossip Cop he did not see Pattinson and Stewart at the party, and one of the organizers tells Gossip Cop, “They were not on the list [of expected celebrities].”

Again, it’s possible that Pattinson and Stewart were among the crowd that included stars like Halle Berry, Ryan Gosling, Miley Cyrus and Natalie Portman.

But the absence of any corroborating eyewitness accounts at this point, in addition to what our sources tell us, make Gossip Cop skeptical that the Breaking Dawn stars kissed on the Chateau Marmont dance floor last week.

The National Enquirer reports that Charlize Theron and Sean Penn were “spotted in the Chateau Marmont garden totally drunk – on each other, that is.”

According to the tabloid, the Oscar winners were dating “verrry secretly,” until they were caught in the act as they “nuzzled, snuggled, kissed and cooed under a Hollywood moon while late-night partying with pals.”

A source for the tab reveals, “Sean and Charlize have been good friends for years. But now that neither is in a relationship, their friendship has blossomed into a full-blown romance.”

No, it hasn’t.

There’s no “romance.”

A source close to Theron tells Gossip Cop that the Enquirer story is “ridiculous.”

This may actually be a case of ‘Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.’ Gossip Cop has been hearing lately that the two have been spending time together – whether it becomes (or is) romantic, is still to be determined.

Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn are “undercover lovers” exclaims Us Weekly.

According to the magazine, just weeks after Johansson and Ryan Reynolds announced their split, she and Penn “began seeing each other.”

“Their first hookup was in Scarlett’s bungalow” at the Chateau Marmont hotel in L.A. on January 4, says a so-called “insider” for the mag.

More recently, claims Us Weekly, they had a “secret sexy fling” after the two attended a party for Black Swan at the Sunset Tower Hotel in L.A. on February 5.

The celebrity weekly reports the two were spotted outside the hotel smoking cigarettes, and then went back inside the party. While Penn was talking to a group of people at the event, Johansson “pretended she didn’t notice, batting her eyelashes while chatting with other partygoers.”

Penn then left the party and “five minutes later, Johansson did the same,” as part of an elaborate ruse to throw off “their status as a couple,” says a breathless Us Weekly.

A mag “source” concludes, “She’s smitten with him.”

OK, let’s look at this objectively. Johansson didn’t look at Penn when he was talking to people at the Black Swan party, and then they left separately five minutes apart.

Clearly, Johansson’s “smitten” and they’re having a “sexy secret fling.”

Actually, the two are friends, who both have an interest in Haiti’s plight, and that’s what they talked about over smokes outside.

A rep for Johansson dismissed the Us Weekly story that they’re “undercover lovers” by saying, “There is no truth to this at all.”

Of recent, Johansson has wrongly been linked to Justin Long (nope), Justin Timberlake (not true), and Jason Sudeikis (no dice).

A simmering feud between Lindsay Lohan and Avril Lavigne reportedly triggered a public fight recently at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont.

According to the New York Post, Lavigne was at a table with friends including boyfriend Brody Jenner when Lohan approached. Lavigne is said to have started the smackdown by yelling, “Get the hell out of my face, you are fake, you are a loser. I don’t like false people. Stay away from me and my friends.”

Enraged, Lohan supposedly returned fire by screaming, “Don’t threaten me!” and tried to have security toss Lavigne from the premises. When Lavigne was allowed to stay, Lohan reportedly “stormed off.”

An eyewitness tells Gossip Cop she doesn’t know why there’s bad blood between the two stars, but confirmed both Lavigne’s outburst and Lohan’s attempt to have her booted. We also learned that the incident occurred on April 28.

When Gossip Cop reached out to Lohan for her side of the story, she told us, “This is so lame and untrue.”

But while the Post may have missed portions of her exchange with Lavigne or exaggerated their animosity, it looks like the two did indeed spar, and the Chateau Marmont may not be big enough for them both.

The New York Post is reporting that while out of Bar Refaeli‘s sight, “Leonardo DiCaprio flirted with a string of pretty blondes” at a pre-Oscar party at the Chateau Marmont two days ago.

According to a New York Post source, “Leo was surrounded by a gaggle of girls all night,” and at around 3 a.m. he left the party with a male friend, “followed by three girls.”

Picking up the item, reliably unreliable HollywoodLife takes it a step further, declaring, “If he wasn’t split with Bar before that, he probably is now!”

Nope.

While it’s true DiCaprio attracted the attention of a number of young ladies at the party, a friend of DiCaprio assures Gossip Cop the “Shutter Island” star “left with his buddy… not girls,” and is still with Refaeli.

Good boy.

“Fears for Lindsay Lohan‘s health as she is spotted with ‘prescription drugs’” reads the headline of a piece in the U.K.’s Daily Mail, after the contents of the actress’ open handbag were photographed inside a car she emerged from as she went to the Chateau Marmont a few days ago.

The paper then claims, “The image of the tablets inside the bag – nestled among her lipstick, hairbrush and wallet – has raised fears the star may be slipping back to her old ways.”

Of course, the paper doesn’t state who “fears” for her. Instead, the tab and other media outlets like it simply regurgitate unsubstantiated allegations made by the actress’ father, Michael Lohan, about her supposed pill popping.

Gossip Cop, however, went directly to Lohan, who told us all about the pill bottle pictured in the Daily Mail article and elsewhere.

Lohan said, “They are trazodone.” And while the pills have various usages, Lohan explained to Gossip Cop that they were prescribed as “a non-narcotic sleeping aid for when I travel. They’ve been prescribed to me since I was in rehab!”

Gossip Cop hopes this puts the rumors to… sleep.

People magazine reported that “Star Trek star Chris Pine and actress Olivia Munn have ended their romance,” and  that “the two kept their distance at the NY Times Style Magazine‘s Golden Globes cocktail party on Friday at the Chateau Marmont penthouse in West Hollywood.”

Meanwhile, Us Weekly countered, “Chris Pine and Olivia Munn have not parted ways,” and quoted a source saying, “Wrong! They are not broken up.”

Unfortunately for Us Weekly, this round goes to People.

Gossip Cop confirmed with a source close to Pine that he and the “Iron Man 2″ actress have indeed broken up.

“New Couple Alert: January Jones & Jeremy Piven?” questions Star magazine on its site.

Like a number of other outlets, Star speculates that Piven and Jones are possibly a new couple, all based on one thing – a picture.

According to the tabloid, “Entourage star Jeremy Piven lost the Golden Globe to Dexter’s John Lithgow… but he may have landed an even better prize,” meaning Jones.

And the site claims that “Mad Men” star January Jones was “openly flirting” with Piven first at an HBO party, and then “Later that night, they were photographed leaving Chateau Marmont arm-in-arm.”

But before you start picking out teacups from the registry, you should know that Star conveniently left out one detail — after they walked outside the Chateau Marmont, they went their separate ways.

Also, a rep for Piven says, “They are just friends.”

Gossip Cop will keep a tab on the two to see if they hug-it-out in the future.

Once again, Perez Hilton can’t be bothered by the facts.

The blogger, who is so afraid of Gossip Cop that he’s blocked us on Twitter, notes that Lindsay Lohan “and mom Dina showed up to the Chateau Marmont for one of the [Golden Globe] award pre-parties hosted by the (sic) The New York Times Style Magazine.”

He adds, “The only problem? They weren’t invited.”

Did Perez fact-check? Of course not.

Had he done a teensy weensy bit of reporting, Perez would have known that Lohan did not “crash,” as he put it.

Gossip Cop spoke to the party’s organizer, Peggy Siegal, who told us, “She didn’t crash. She was expected.”

And, among the reasons Lohan came to the party — which also drew the likes of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Jeff Bridges, Jane Fonda, Adam Lambert, and Anna Kendrick – was that she wanted to see Best Screenplay nominee (“It’s Complicated”) Nancy Meyers, who cast her way back when in “The Parent Trap.”

The only one who crashed here is… Perez.

“Hey Katie Holmes, Will You Be Guest Starring On ‘Glee?’” asks the site HollywoodLife, which spends far more time posing questions than fact-checking.

The blog says, “We all know Katie Holmes loves to sing and dance (think of her special performances on ABC’s ‘Eli Stone’ in 2008 and FOX’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ in 2009), and now we think she might be gunning for a role on FOX’s musical hit, ‘Glee!’”

Why does HollywoodLife think Holmes is “gunning for a role?” They actually admit it’s all based circumstantially on having “spotted her chatting with ‘Glee’ star Dianna Agron at last night’s New York Times-sponsored Golden Globes party at the Chateau Marmont in LA — and Katie was asking Dianna lots of questions about the show.”

HollywoodLife even excitedly reports they heard the two “ending their conversation with Dianna telling Katie, ‘I’ll let you know,’” and adds, “Hm… Could they be getting the ball rolling on Katie’s guest-starring role?”

Once again, Gossip Cop answers questions, especially when other sites ask the wrong ones.

For starters, Holmes is NOT doing “Glee.” And we double-checked with her rep, who told us the same thing.

As for HollywoodLife basing its fabricated scenario that Holmes might possibly do “Glee” because she was at a party, talking to Dianna Agron, who was overheard saying, “I’ll let you know” – the site made one HUGE oversight. Agron and Holmes worked together in the upcoming movie, “The Romantics.”

No “Glee” for Holmes (or Gossip Cop for constantly having to correct HollywoodLife).

Perez Hilton’s stories should probably just all be marked LATE EDITION.

In a piece titled, “Britney Can’t Win! Did Jason Cheat?” Hilton reports that Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have hit the skids because “Sources saw Trawick leaving The Roger Room in Los Angeles the other night with another woman!!”

If this sounds vaguely familiar it’s because Gossip Cop busted a version of this story – originally in In Touch - four days ago. Yes, Trawick left the Roger Room with another woman (actually two women), who were nothing more than colleagues and also attended a party for a co-worker at the talent agency WME.

Perez further claims in his post that “Upon hearing of her boyfriend’s bad behavior, Britney allegedly checked herself and Momma Spears into her old WeHo haunt, the Mondrian Hotel,” where he says she’s “holed up in the penthouse suite, ignoring Jason’s calls.”

If this also sounds vaguely familiar, it’s because Gossip Cop busted a version of this story – originally in the British Star – three days ago. In fact, as we reported then, not only wasn’t Spears “ignoring Jason’s calls,” but on the contrary, she and Trawick hung out together at the Chateau Marmont hotel last Thursday before going back to her place.

Making waves on both sides of the Atlantic today are rumors Britney Spears has ended her relationship with Jason Trawick.

According to reports, Spears is now “refusing to take” Trawick’s calls after he reportedly was caught “flirting with two women” (a story Gossip Cop busted).

A “source” claims Trawick “quickly tried to calm Britney down” after word of his alleged behavior got back to her, “But they still had a massive row… Everyone is assuming it’s over — for the time being anyway.”

Gossip Cop wonders if the “time being” lasted more than the blink of an eye… because Spears and Trawick seem to still be together, having been spotted by everyone in Los Angeles yesterday. First they were seen at Chateau Marmont, and later driving together to Spears’ home.

X17Online declares in a headline, “Lindsay’s Hooking Up With A Male Model.”

And what is this all based on?

Mostly a picture on Twitter that Lohan posted of herself with several other people, including model Petey Wright. X17 says, “as if Lindsay Lohan‘s Twitter pic wasn’t enough to get the rumor mill started,” but frankly, if you look at Lohan’s photo that we’ve linked to, Wright — in the white T-shirt — doesn’t seem to have his attention focused on her.

Nevertheless, X17 has an unnamed source saying, “Lindsay was all over Petey during the sexy photo shoot [earlier that day at the Chateau Marmont], and it continued when the shoot ended!”

The photo/news agency says the two went later that night to the L.A. club Wonderland, where another so-called source claimed, “She had her hand on his leg the whole time between kisses.”

Time for Gossip Cop to step in. First, how come the photo agency doesn’t have any pictures of Lohan kissing Wright?

And unlike X17, who used unnamed sources without any proof, and instead strung a story together based on a Twitter picture that Lohan put up of a bunch of people, Gossip Cop actually went to Lohan herself.

As to X17’s assertion that she was “all over Petey during the sexy photo shoot,” Lohan told Gossip Cop, “My photo shoots consist of work and only work.” More importantly, when we asked if it was true that she was hooking up with the model, she simply responded, “NOT.”

An “exclusive” from the generally good Hollyscoop announced, “John Mayer Dating Actress Rashida Jones,” and went on to note that on Friday night the musician “found himself new prey and he’s going to extremes to impress her.”

According to the blog, Mayer and Jones were “on a romantic date” at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, and at one point the “No Such Thing” singer “took the guitar from someone who was performing… at the Chateau and performed an impromptu performance for Rashida.”

Well, John Mayer did NOT have a “romantic” (or any type of) date with Rashida Jones. “She was having dinner with friends – totally independent of him,” her rep told Gossip Cop. The rep for the “Parks and Recreation Star” added, “He came over to the table she was at with her friends, said hello to everyone, [and] asked if he could play the guitar that her friends were already playing.” Mayer’s “performance was not directed at anyone,” including Jones, the daughter of music legend Quincy Jones.

Did a birthday celebration lead to confrontation?

Radar posted an “exclusive” story that Salma Hayek had thrown a fit at the Chateau Marmont because its restaurant wouldn’t serve her without a reservation. According to the piece, when the hostess wouldn’t seat the actress and a couple of girlfriends, “Salma freaked out! She created a scene, yelling Spanish.”

The site claims to have seen “the whole thing with our Radar eyes.”

Yeah, Radar might want to visit the optometrist.

Hayek’s rep tells Gossip Cop the story is “not true.” The actress didn’t have to wait for a table because her family and friends had gotten there early and were already sitting. And although the group may have been a bit loud, “there was no screaming.”

Generally Gossip Cop enjoys when others pick up a tab, especially if it’s ours – and the meal was expensive. But this time the tabs, specifically the British tabs like The Mirror – and now a number of blogs – are buzzing about Lindsay Lohan owing the West Hollywood hotel Chateau Marmont $37,500 for recent stays.

Interestingly, the tabs are divided. Some say she racked up the alleged bills after a split from gal pal Samantha Ronson, while others claim it was for stays with Ronson. Actually, it doesn’t matter because Chateau Marmont sources swear up and down that Lohan doesn’t owe the chic hotel a single cent. Lohan’s rep explained, “Some ex-friend is making up a lot of stories and giving them to the British tabloids.”
