One would think, with just a few days left to being under probation for the Christmas Day incident with his estranged wife Brooke Mueller, the timing couldn’t be worse for Charlie Sheen, who was found drunk and naked by the police in a New York City hotel.

But oddly, it actually couldn’t be better timing. How so?

Charlie Sheen had an allergic reaction to medication, his rep is claiming.

The actor’s camp is battling reports that he was drunk during this morning’s police visit and hospitalization.

“What we are able to determine is that Charlie had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to be released tomorrow,” says his rep, Stan Rosenfield.

More bad news for Charlie Sheen.

This morning’s drunken hotel drama comes just 8 days before Sheen was to complete his probation for last year’s domestic violence arrest.

Sheen pleaded guilty back in August and was given a three-month probation period.

He was not arrested today, but the district attorney’s office in Aspen is looking into the matter to determine whether it constitutes a violation of his probation terms.
