Unfortunately, Star magazine would rather be sensational than responsible.

That’s the only explanation for this week’s cover, which shows Douglas and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones happy on vacation… with the tagline, “Painful Secret Behind The Smiles.” According to the tabloid, the couple “is hiding” something.

Michael Douglas isn’t just eager to beat cancer – he’s also ready to go back on camera.

The actor plans to play the title role in “Liberace,” a biopic from Steven Soderbergh that is set to start shooting this spring.

Despite constant, ugly tabloid speculation about his health, Douglas and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones have been active, taking their children to Disney World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in recent days.

Star magazine takes another shameless turn this week with a cover story announcing that as a “final gift” to wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas is taking measures to give her a “new baby.”

According to the tab, Zeta-Jones has long wanted another child, but the older Douglas was reluctant to expand the family.

But his recent treatment for throat cancer, however, allegedly changed his mind, says Star, and a so-called “insider” claims that the actor recently “broke down and told her that he wanted her to be able to have another baby with him more than anything.”
