UPDATEDThe Social Network, the eagerly awaited film about the founders of Facebook, which stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mara Rooney, Andrew Garfield, and Justin Timberlake, not surprisingly takes the number spot at the box office. The film sold $23 million in tickets. Coming in second is the animated Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole with $10.5 million, while last week’s winner, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, starring Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, and Carey Mulligan came in third with$10.2 million. The eagerly awaited sequel ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,’ starring Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, and Carey Mulligan opened in the top spot at the box office in its debut weekend, taking in $19 million. In second was the animated ‘Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole’ with $16.3 million, and last weekend’s big winner, ‘The Town,’ came in third with $16 million in receipts. Teen comedy ‘Easy A’ finished in fourth place, while newcomer ‘You Again,’ starring Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, and Betty White rounded out the top five. Carey Mulligan is currently on the cover of Vogue, and she’s been nominated for an Oscar, but apparently she’s still not famous enough to be on “Glee.”
The British actress, who costars with boyfriend Shia LaBeouf in Wall Street 2, told the magazine she was flat out turned down by the creators of “Glee” when she asked to be on the show, which has featured a slew of stars including Neil Patrick Harris. So, why didn’t they want her?
