Cameron Douglas, son of Michael Douglas, was sentenced to four and a half more years in prison for possessing drugs while already jailed on other charges.

A New York judge handed down the decision on Wednesday.

The younger Douglas pleaded guilty to the new possession charges in October after being caught with heroin in his prison cell.

Michael Douglas says Catherine Zeta-Jones was “outed” in her struggle with bipolar disorder during an “Oprah” interview airing today.

“I must say, Catherine’s being quite open about it because she was outed,” Douglas tells the host. “She went [into treatment] to go get some help and some other patient probably in there said, ‘Hey, you won’t believe who’s in here now.’” “Once that happens,” continues the actor, “I think she felt [it] best to kind of get out the story.”

“Michael Douglas COLLAPSES!” screams a headline in this week’s National Enquirer. The tab reports that “a gravely ill Michael Douglas collapsed at his New York apartment,” and “had a driver take him to Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to see his doctor.” Apparently, the incident was so alarming that “his frail, 93-year-old father Kirk rushed across the country to help his stricken son.” Really?

“My son was a drug dealer… and I can’t condone his behavior,” Michael Douglas said this morning on the “Today Show.” The Oscar winner felt his son Cameron’s five-year sentence for dealing drugs was “adequate.”

Cameron Douglas, son of Michael Douglas and grandson of Kirk Douglas, was sentenced today to just 5 years after pleading guilty to drug charges in January.

Douglas, who has a long history of drug abuse, was arrested last July for distribution of crystal meth. He was facing a mandatory 10-year prison sentence.

A sad story out of New York last night as Cameron Douglas, son of Michael Douglas and grandson of Kirk Douglas, was busted by law enforcement authorities for possession of methamphetamines with the intent to distribute.
