The People’s Choice Awards will be a whole lot more interesting this year, according to Life & Style, which claims Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez‘s “nasty rivalry” is threatening to come to a head when the stars, who are both up for an award, come face-to-face at the ceremony next month.

An “insider” for the mag explains, “Cameron has always hated Jennifer because Jen trash-talked her to the press in the 1990s, and Cameron never got over it.”

Their supposed “frosty relationship” began when Lopez dismissed Diaz as a “lucky model” during an interview, writes the tabloid, and alleged “sources” insist the feud escalated when they both worked on What to Expect When You’re Expecting last summer.

Life & Style points out that the two didn’t share any scenes in the film, and quotes a supposed “on-set insider” as saying, “Producers made sure the actresses never crossed paths — even booking Jennifer and her massive entourage into a different hotel in Atlanta.”

And things (supposedly) got even worse from there.

The mag says Diaz flipped when she learned Lopez was going out with Bradley Cooper (whom she was rumored to be dating in 2009), and so “retaliated with Diddy [Lopez's ex] weeks later.”

Now, Life & Style claims Diaz is demanding Diddy “stop talking to Jen!”

Wow, this soap opera sounds more enthralling than most movie scripts.

Unfortunately, it’s all nonsense.

A rep for Diaz tells Gossip Cop, “There is no truth whatsoever to any of this,” adding, “Cameron likes Jennifer” and “was completely enthusiastic about her joining the cast of the movie.”

“Cameron Moves On To Ryan,” reads the headline of an In Touch piece about Cameron Diaz and Ryan Phillippe.

According to the tabloid, Diaz has “moved on” from her split with Alex Rodriguez, and is now “getting close” to Phillippe.

The mag goes so far as to report that Diaz “thinks [Phillippe] might be The One,” and even quotes a so-called “friend” as saying, “She wants to settle down, and she likes that he’s a single dad so she’s open to the idea of seeing where things with him go.”

This is all so intriguing, and a big pile of… nonsense.

A mutual pal of Gossip Cop and Phillippe says the entire premise is untrue, and stresses “he has nothing to do with Cameron Diaz.”

“Leonardo & Cameron FLIRT ALERT!” reads a headline from Star, which goes on to claim that Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz are “quietly having a fun fling.”

The mag says DiCaprio “set off major sparks” with Diaz at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in L.A. on November 5, prompting witnesses at the museum event to suspect there was something romantic going on between them.

According to one so-called “source” at the party, “Every time Leo was pulled away to talk to someone else, he’d keep his eye on her.”

“Cam even blew him a kiss!” adds the “insider.”

How scandalous!

But don’t expect these two to come out as a couple anytime soon, warns Star, which explains the former Gangs of New York co-stars have a “no strings attached” type of arrangement.

OR…

There’s just NOTHING going on between them.

“Cameron Diaz and Diddy are hooking up!” reads a headline from Us Weekly, which claims the actress is rebounding from Alex Rodriguez with the singer.

The mag says Diaz and Diddy, who supposedly had a fling in the past, are reuniting now that she’s single, and have even “gone public” with their romance.

According to Us, the pair was “nuzzling in a booth at NYC’s Catch on October 24,” and a so-called “eyewitness” tells the mag they were “inseparable” and “had their hands all over each other.”

And on November 11, adds another “source,” they were allegedly ”making out” and “acting romantic” over lunch at Scarpetta in Beverly Hills.

Gossip Cop reached out to a rep for Diaz, who insists, “They are not romantically involved.”

The reps says she and Diddy are ”longtime friends,” adding, “They have been seen together recently because they are developing a film project.”

There’s “bad blood” between Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez, claims In Touch, picking up a debunked Star story, dusting it off, and hoping no one notices.

According to the mag, the What to Expect When You’re Expecting set has become a “war zone” with the two actresses engaged in a “frosty” feud.

At the core of this alleged fight is Diaz’s supposed frustration with Lopez’s “demanding diva” behavior.

“Cameron just can’t stand Jennifer!” declares In Touch‘s “on-set source,” who adds that Diaz thinks Lopez is a “nightmare” who should stick to judging “American Idol.”

Gossip Cop wonders which “set” this tab source was actually on.

As we reported back in August, Diaz and Lopez were never even on the What to Expect When You’re Expecting set together, and were certainly never feuding.

In fact, Lopez had already stopped filming the movie two months ago.

So if you’re “expecting” gossip that’s accurate and timely, don’t turn to this In Touch story.

We’re told there was no drama – just professional circumstances that made it difficult for the former couple to spend enough time together. The New York Yankees slugger is getting ready for the playoffs, while Diaz is working on a new film.

In fact, our source doesn’t rule out the possibility of a Diaz and Rodriguez reconciliation down the road.

This week, Star magazine leaps into the “Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are totally planning a wedding” fray with an article that claims the couple “are planning on tying the knot at their French estate, Château Miraval, in the fall, and their brood is thrilled.”

Maddox, their 10-year-old son, is supposedly the driving force behind the nuptials.

“He’s finally getting his wish, and Brad and Angie want it to be everything he has hoped for,” explains a so-called “insider” for the tabloid.

And why is little Maddox so intent on seeing a wedding?

Because he saw Shrek, says Star.

“He thinks his mom is Princess Fiona and his dad is Shrek. He’s had it in his head since forever that they should be like Fiona and Shrek and tie the knot,” explains the “insider.”

Uh-huh.

We had no idea Shrek‘s impact on Maddox was all Jolie and Pitt needed to push them to get married after years of rumors.

Will Pitt have to paint himself green to capture the full effect? Will Jolie be “voiced” by Cameron Diaz during the ceremony?

Probably not, since this story is bogus.

As Gossip Cop has reported repeatedly, while Pitt and Jolie aren’t ruling out the possibility of marrying one day, they have absolutely no plans for a wedding, a source close to the couple tells us.

Star concludes its fairy tale by quoting their source as saying, “The kids are all enjoying the process so much, they’ve asked if they can have a wedding every month!”

No, but the tabloids seem to “enjoy” it so much, we expect these wrong rumors to return almost every week.

“Cameron Diaz isn’t holding back on catty comments about Jennifer Lopez as they shoot What to Expect When You’re Expecting in Atlanta — and J. Lo’s icing her out in return,” begins a story in Star, which claims the two actresses are “at war!”

According to a so-called “insider” for the tabloid, “Jennifer and Cameron don’t like each other much… They don’t interact much, but when they do, the tension is thick.”

The same alleged “insider” says that Diaz sees Lopez’s and Marc Anthony‘s divorce and her supposed romance with co-star Rodrigo Santoro as a “distraction from work,” and is annoyed by the “American Idol” judge’s “huge entourage” that includes her mom, hair and makeup people, three assistants, and her manager.

Diaz even made a snide comment, says Star, about “How many people does it take for one woman to film a simple scene?”

Nevertheless, the magazine reports J. Lo ignores Diaz’s swipes, and “just acts as if Cam doesn’t exist.”

Let’s take a look at Star‘s reporting, shall we?

What’s most interesting about it is that the tab says Lopez and Diaz “don’t interact much” on the set, but when they do, “the tension is thick.”

Forget that Diaz and Lopez “don’t interact much.” They NEVER interacted at all — because, as Lopez’s rep points out, they were “never even on the set together.”

And Lopez wrapped filming days ago.

And far from being “at war,” Lopez’s spokesman adds, “They are actually good friends.”

And, once again, Lopez is not involved with Santoro.

In a fitting finale, Harry Potter’s magic is making box office records disappear.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 made $168.6 million in its opening weekend, which was the biggest Friday-Sunday in movie history. The Dark Knight earned $158.4 million in its debut.

The staggering sum comes after Harry made nearly $100 million on its first day, which is just plain ridiculous.

To put the wizardry in perspective, the movie earned roughly eight times what (second place) Transformers: Dark of the Moon – the year’s biggest movie – banked this weekend ($21.2 million).

The comedies Horrible Bosses ($17.5 million) and Zookeeper ($12.5 million) finished in third and fourth places, with $17.5 million and $12.5 million, respectively.

Coming in fifth was Cars 2, which made $8.3 million.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Winnie the Pooh ($8 million), Cameron Diaz‘s Bad Teacher ($5.2 million), Tom Hanks‘ Larry Crowne ($2.8 million), Woody Allen‘s Midnight in Paris ($1.9 million), and Super 8 (1.8 million).

Special effects sequel spectacular Transformers: Dark of the Moon once again beat the competition, earning $47 million in its second weekend at the box office.

Meanwhile, Horrible Bosses had wonderful ticket sales.

The employer-employee revenge comedy, starring an ensemble including Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman, came in second with a strong $28.1 million haul.

The Kevin James animal romp Zookeeper secured third place with $21 million.

Cars 2 and the Cameron Diaz-Justin Timberlake raunch fest Bad Teacher came in fourth and fifth places with $15.2 million and $9 million, respectively.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Larry Crowne ($6.3 million), Super 8 ($4.7 million), Monte Carlo ($3.9 million), Mr. Popper’s Penguins ($2.8 million), and Midnight in Paris ($2.7 million).

Cameron Diaz is supposedly so desperate to get married to Alex Rodriguez, she’s resorted to getting “extremely cozy” with ex Justin Timberlake to make the baseball slugger jealous.

At least that’s what Star magazine claims, citing an onlooker who says Diaz and Timberlake “were very touchy-feely all night” after the June 20 premiere of their movie Bad Teacher.

According to the tabloid, it’s all part of Diaz’s plot to lure Rodriguez into proposing to her. She’s allegedly engaged in serious “mind games” with A-Rod, playing off the fact that he’s “definitely the jealous type,” claims Star.

Therefore, argues the mag’s “insider,” her PDA and public praise of Timberlake is all “reverse psychology” on Diaz’s baseball beau to make him commit to her.

Um, couple of problems here.

First of all, Diaz and Timberlake never got romantically “kissy” with each other as Star implies. They’re in Bad Teacher, and they celebrated the movie’s premiere together.

That’s it.

More importantly, Diaz has declared repeatedly that she does not want to get married.

In a recent interview, the actress again dismissed marriage, saying it’s “based off of old traditions that don’t suit our world any longer.”

She is not orchestrating an elaborate plot to force Rodriguez to get married when she has zero interest in getting married.

The tab’s insider concludes, “Cam didn’t want to play games with him, but she has Alex exactly where she wants him.”

Actually, it’s just Star that’s playing games.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon made a lot of green this red, white, and blue holiday weekend.

The latest film in the franchise had the biggest Fourth of July opening ever, raking in $116.4 million for the four-day weekend, and easily secured the #1 spot at the box office.

Shia LaBeouf‘s and his robot car buddies smashed the animated Cars 2, which fell to #2 with a four-day weekend total of $33 million.

The Cameron Diaz-Justin Timberlake comedy Bad Teacher came in third with $17.5 million, followed by Larry Crowne, starring Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, which earned just $16 million.

Super 8 nabbed fifth place with $9.8 million.

Rounding out the Top Ten were the Selena Gomez and Leighton Meester film Monte Carlo ($9 million), Green Lantern ($8.4 million), Mr. Popper’s Penguins ($6.6 million), Midnight in Paris ($4.7 million), and Bridesmaids ($4.6 million).

Pixar wins again.

The hit factory’s Cars 2 crossed the weekend’s finish line with $68 million, despite mediocre reviews.

Cameron Diaz‘s potty mouth scored well with audiences, too. Her raunchy comedy Bad Teacher, also starring Justin Timberlake, earned $31 million to come in second.

Last week’s champ, Green Lantern, lit up the box office for another $18.4 million to snag third place.

Super 8 and Jim Carrey‘s Mr. Popper’s Penguins came in fourth and fifth place with $12.1 million and $10.3 million, respectively

Jennifer Lopez is about to have more baby joy – at least on screen.

The “American Idol” judge is joining Cameron Diaz for What To Expect When You’re Expecting, an adaptation of the bestselling pregnancy book.

Lopez will play a woman who wants to adopt a foreign-born child after having trouble conceiving in one of the film’s several interwoven story lines.

The film is slated for release on (when else) Mother’s Day Weekend, 2012.

Cameron Diaz visited the “Late Show with David Letterman” last night to promote her new movie Bad Teacher, and shared the “exclusive” story behind her infamous Alex Rodriguez popcorn-feeding incident at this past year’s Super Bowl.

Diaz says right before she was caught on-camera feeding her boyfriend the snack, A-Rod reached over to grab some of her last few kernels, and she greedily swatted his hand away.

The actress says she then felt bad, telling the Yankee, “I love you too much. I’m gonna give it to you,” and fed him popcorn while, unbeknownst to them cameras were catching the intimate moment on tape.

Cameron Diaz is “secretly mourning the end of her relationship” with Alex Rodriguez, according to Life & Style.

“They’ve broken up,” an alleged “insider” tells the tabloid, explaining that Rodriguez “told her that he needs to focus on baseball and that’s all there is to it.”

Really?

“That’s all there is to it”?

Life & Style is adamant the couple has split, claiming it was Diaz’s need to get more serious that drove away the slugger.

“For a long time, Alex thought she was a ton of fun,” explains the tab’s “insider,” and because Diaz “kept saying that she never wanted to get married and have kids, he thought she would be an easy girlfriend.”

“But then she pushed for more of a commitment, and he told her to cool it.”

What a shame.

The magazine claims Rodriguez has “boob-job demands” for Cameron Diaz, quoting a so-called Diaz “pal” as saying, “Alex told Cameron she should consider implants.”

Before outlets start trying to marry Cameron Diaz off to Alex Rodriguez, the star has a few things to say about the institution of matrimony.

The Green Hornet star tells Maxim in their upcoming “Hot 100″ issue that she believes marriage is a dying institution.

“I think we have to make our own rules,” Diaz states. “I don’t think we should live our lives in relationships based off old traditions that don’t suit our world any longer.”

The actress also touches on the topic of marriage in the June issue of British Elle, saying, “I think a lot of people are married to people they’re not romantic with anymore.”

“I just didn’t ever marry anybody that I then had to get divorced from. We break up. We move on,” explains the star.

Alex Rodriguez has “long been known as a heartbreaker,” says the National Enquirer, but “sources” tell the tabloid the tables have turned, and he’s now “insanely jealous” over the close bond between his girlfriend Cameron Diaz and her ex, Justin Timberlake.

Timberlake, of course, can’t even share a ballroom with an actress without romantic rumors, thanks to the Enquirer, which once linked the singer to (former Rodriguez beau) Kate Hudson just because they presented together at an awards show.

Now, alleges the magazine, Rodriguez is “furious” that Timberlake and Diaz are slated to promote their movie Bad Teacher together.

“Alex isn’t normally a jealous kind of guy, but he knows how much history Cameron and Justin have together and it’s made him insecure,” explains the Enquirer‘s “source.”

“He’s been grilling Cameron about her relationship with Justin and having little temper tantrums.”

Yeah, so little they don’t even exist.

Gossip Cop wonders where the Enquirer gets this stuff.

The tabloid doesn’t even bother inventing phony flirting between Timberlake and Diaz, because all of the tabloid talk about them reuniting as their movie was filming led absolutely nowhere.

So the Enquirer is forced to pretend that Rodriguez is overreacting to what it’s already essentially treating as a non-issue.

In any case, a source close to the ballplayer tells Gossip Cop, the jealousy story is bogus, and “nothing could be further from the truth… that’s just not his way – they have a grown-up relationship.”

Looks like another strikeout for the Enquirer.

The mag claims Timberlake was “aggressively pursuing” Kunis at the Weinstein Company SAG Awards after-party, where they were spotted “whispering closely.”

Sadly, Us Weekly, which wrongly reported 15 months ago that Timberlake and Jessica Biel broke up, is hellbent on splitting up the couple. In the past, the mag has tried to link him to Cameron Diaz (nope), Olivia Munn (wrong), and once before even to Kunis (no dice).

Timberlake and Biel remain perfectly happy together.

Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez, who went from L.A. to Miami and then to Mexico in just the span of a month, are now in Las Vegas – and they’re already getting their party on.

Last night, the couple joined Jay-Z, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin for dinner at Blue Ribbon in Las Vegas before hitting club after club into the wee hours of the morning.

First, they stopped by Marquee in the new Cosmopolitan hotel, and then they went to the club Haze in the nearby Aria Resort & Casino.

They’re still in the club, and it’s nearly 4 a.m. local time.

Pace yourselves. New Year’s is still several hours away.

Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez, who recently rekindled their romance, have gone from hot to hotter to even hotter.

The actress and ballplayer were spotted together – a week and a half ago – having dinner in sunny California. Then they were seen five days ago in even warmer Miami, relaxing on a big boat that traveled around Biscayne Bay.

Now RadarOnline has photographs of A-Rod and Diaz in muy caliente Mexico, hosing each other down after coming out of the ocean.

Still, a source tells Gossip Cop there’s no rush to buy anything off the registry. “They’re back to spending time together,” says the source, adding their relationship is “good, but not very serious yet.”

The tabs just won’t quit trying to stir up trouble between Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake.

Life & Style claims that Joanna Garcia‘s upcoming wedding to New York Yankee Nick Swisher is going to be a “showdown” between Cameron Diaz and Biel.

According to the tab, Biel is “fuming” over the fact that Diaz will be at the wedding. “Jessica told Justin that she won’t go if Cameron is there because she knows how friendly the exes can get when they see each other,” says an “insider” for the mag.

Although Diaz and Timberlake split over three years ago, the mag says Biel “still feels threatened” by Diaz.

How come?

“Jessica is especially sensitive to it now that Cameron is single again,” says the supposed “insider,” adding, “And Justin isn’t doing anything to smooth any of this over.”

Let’s start off by saying this story is totally WRONG.

Now here’s why…

First, Diaz and Timberlake filmed Bad Teacher together last Spring, which caused no discord between him and Biel, despite the tabloids’ best efforts.

Second, Diaz is casually seeing Alex Rodriguez again.

Third (strike), there’s not even an issue of “how friendly the exes can get when they see each other,” because a Timberlake source tells Gossip Cop that he won’t even be at the Garcia-Swisher wedding.

Apparently, Us Weekly can’t take a hint.

Back in September 2009 — thirteen months ago — the magazine insisted that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel had split.

They hadn’t.

Last April, Timberlake supposedly betrayed Biel with ex Cameron Diaz, Us Weekly crowed.

That was also completely fabricated.

Instead of licking its wounds and admitting its mistakes, though, Us Weekly keeps barreling down the same wrong path.

The new issue’s cover announces that Timberlake was “caught cheating” on Biel with Olivia Munn.

According to the magazine’s “insider,” Munn and Timberlake first made a connection at a September 26 MySpace live chat event for his movie, The Social Network. The pair then allegedly flirted and nuzzled at Avenue in New York in the early hours of September 27, soon having a “passionate sexual liaison.”

Timberlake supposedly won over Munn by lying to her about his relationship with Biel, allegedly claiming that it was all but over.

With Biel off shooting a film in British Columbia and contact between her and Timberlake “minimal,” Us Weekly explains, his “deception was easy.”

Here’s what isn’t “easy” for the magazine — quitting when a story doesn’t go its way.

Interestingly, the alleged public dalliance between Timberlake and Munn is said to have happened weeks ago. And no one bothered to say anything until now?

Also, Biel and Timberlake are often together — she flew to join him in Las Vegas this past weekend.

For the record, a rep for Timberlake denies the allegations.

Just another misrepresentation in a long string of debunked Us stories about Timberlake.

The legal battle between Demi Moore and Pacific Magazines – over pictures its Australian tab, New Idea, published of a private post-Oscars bash Moore threw in 2008 – has been settled.

Moore, who was seeking unspecified damages, claimed she had an agreement with an event organizer for the copyright of the pictures.

The playful snaps were reportedly a number of black-and-white photo booth-style pictures of Moore, her daughter Rumer Willis, Orlando Bloom, Cameron Diaz, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Amanda De Cadenet.

The case was to begin Monday in Melbourne, Australia, but the judge said Moore and Pacific Magazines had reached a settlement.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
