Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are officially divorced.

Their three-and-a-half year marriage ended on November 22, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Simpson filed for divorce from the rocker in February and, at the time, sought joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their son Bronx.

Since their split, Simpson has been dating “Boardwalk Empire” star Vincent Piazza, and Wentz has been linked to model Meagan Camper.

The couple, who wed in 2008, also reportedly settled their financials in secret.

Ashlee Simpson has filed for divorce from Pete Wentz.

She is citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.

The couple married in 2008.

They have a two-year-old son named Bronx.

Simpson is asking for joint legal custody and primary physical custody.

“After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the couple says in a statement.

“We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives.”

Us Weekly is reporting that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz‘s marriage to Pete Wentz is in trouble because her ”splurging habits are out of control.” 

According to the mag’s unnamed source, “Things are getting strained” between the parents of Bronx, because the “Chicago” star supposedly “keeps spending all his money.” In fact, the tab claims Simpson-Wentz recently “spent over $20,000 on his credit cards and acted like it was nothing. He’s over it!”

A few questions: Where was the shopping spree? When? What did she buy? 

Us doesn’t have any of those answers, just allegations.

When pressed, a rep for both of them unequivocally told Gossip Cop that Us‘ “piece is a fabrication,” adding that the so-called “strained” couple “just celebrated their son’s first birthday together.”
