Jason Alexander, the childhood friend who infamously married Britney Spears for 55 hours, says he was “in love with her” and calls their annulment “bullsh*t.”

Alexander reflects on his whirlwind marriage in a new “20/20″ interview.

He was summoned by Spears to Las Vegas on New Year’s 2004, and went to “have a good time.”

One thing led to another, Spears suggested they get married, and they did.

“I went with my feelings. I was in love with her,” says Alexander. “I feel like she felt the same way.”

After Spears told her family and professional team about the wedding, recalls Alexander, “Everyone went crazy because there was no prenup.”

He calls the annulment, which said Spears “lacked understanding of her actions,” “bullish*t.”

Alexander says he signed the documents hoping that they’d get back together.

That never happened.

It was look-alike Britnee Kellogg, who teared up while telling the judges about her philandering ex-husband.

Kellogg channeled that emotion in her take on Linda Ronstadt‘s “You’re No Good.”

Kevin Federline was rushed to a hospital in West Sydney, Australia on Monday after complaining of chest pains and a racing pulse.

The ex-husband of Britney Spears, who’s Down Under filming “Excess Baggage,” the Aussie version of weight loss reality show “Celebrity Fit Club,” was playing Australian rules football when he took ill.

A rep for the show said in a statement, “Kevin Federline has been taken to hospital after the show’s medic was concerned about his high pulse rate. As a precautionary move, the medic called an ambulance, which took him to Mt Druitt hospital where he is undergoing further tests.”

Federline spent the night in the hospital for observation.

This is the second time Federline has been hospitalized while filming the reality show. Back in December, he collapsed due to heat stress in Australia’s Outback.

Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for the former dancer for updates on his condition.

“Britney Spears isn’t wasting any time since getting engaged to her former agent Jason Trawick,” reports the National Enquirer, which goes on to claim the pop icon is “eloping on Valentine’s Day to Hawaii.”

According to a so-called “source” for the tabloid, “She can’t wait, and she wants to do it her way — small and intimate.”

The supposed insider says that Spears’ parents, Jamie and Lynne, started to plan a “big, traditional wedding at their Louisiana home” when she and Trawick got engaged in December, but the singer “freaked out” and said “no.”

Adds the source, “Britney said maybe they could have a large reception later, but the wedding will be for just her and Jason.”

The covert nuptials will supposedly be held in Maui, where Spears often vacationed with ex-husband Kevin Federline, notes the mag.

Apparently, Spears’ elopement plans are so top secret… that not even she or Trawick know about it!

A rep for the “I Wanna Go” singer tells Gossip Cop the Enquirer tale is 100% “not true.”

Spears and Jason Trawick got engaged last month.

They showed off her ring, from jeweler Neil Lane, at a huge engagement celebration (and Trawick birthday party) in Las Vegas.

There’s still no wedding date set.

Fame monster Courtney Stodden is off to a fast start in 2012, thanks to some characteristically (ahem) demure behavior.

Doug Hutchison’s bride tweeted a photo of herself, sprawled across the floor and wearing almost nothing, and encouraged her followers to do the same.

“Come get down & dirty w/me while we floor flash together!” declared Stodden. “I showed you mine… now show me yours. I’ll RT the hottest!”

It’s the most scandalous thing we’ve seen this side of a pumpkin patch!

But the biggest development might be that Stodden seems to have caught the eye of one Chris Crocker.

You might remember Crocker as the attention magnet whose tear-soaked “Leave Britney Alone” 2007 viral video became a sensation (SEE BELOW).

Shockingly, Stodden seems onboard with a collaboration.

Then the two privately exchanged contact info, setting the stage for what could be the most explosive creative teaming since John Lennon and Paul McCartney met for the first time.

Britney Spears’ ex-husband has nothing but kind things to say about her recent engagement to beau Jason Trawick.

“I’m really happy for her,” Kevin Federline told Australia’s TV Week.

Federline, the father of Spears’ two sons, said he’s spoken with Trawick “quite a few times” and approves of his ex’s choice.

“He seems like a really good guy,” Federline said. “The kids speak highly of him [and] her family loves him.”

Both Federline and Spears have come a long way since their tumultuous split in 2006 and the pop star’s meltdowns during the next two years.

Reflecting on the “very, very, very dramatic times,” Federline said his kids’ safety was his top priority.

“But at the same time, it tears my heart to pieces to watch your ex go through that, let alone watch anybody go through that,” he said.

Now, it seems, all parties have emerged stronger – and happier.

In August, Federline welcomed a daughter with longtime girlfriend Victoria Prince.

“It’s really good once you’re able to move on with life,” he told the magazine. “I mean, Victoria’s the best person in the world. It took me going through the things that I went through to find a person like her.”

“She’s more than I could ever have hoped for,” Federline added. “Hopefully Britney feels the same way.”

Britney Spears unveiled her Neil Lane-designed engagement ring (below) on Friday night at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, where she and fiance Jason Trawick celebrated their engagement and his 40th birthday.

The couple is staying in a special suite at the hotel.

Lane told Gossip Cop he worked “a while” with Trawick to create a “dream ring” for Spears.

Celebrating with the newly engaged couple in Vegas were Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn and brother Bryan.

Mom Lynne Spears was not be at the festivities because she has the flu, but she told Gossip Cop she thought the engagement news was “all wonderful.”

Britney Spears, who for years has marked the big occasions in her life at the various Planet Hollywood retaurants, will unveil her Neil Lane-designed engagement ring tonight at around 7 p.m. PT at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, where she and fiance Jason Trawick will be staying in a special suite.

We’re told newly engaged Spears and Trawick will first be joined by a small group, including her sister Jamie Lynn and brother Bryan, for a reception on the hotel’s mezzanine.

The hotel’s owner — and a longtime friend of Spears — Robert Earl will toast the couple before they head out to a celebratory dinner and partying at the Chateau nightclub at the Paris Resort.

As Gossip Cop reported earlier, mom Lynne Spears will not be at the festivities because she’s got the flu, but told us she thought the engagement news was “all wonderful.”

While some members of Britney Spears and Jason Trawick’s families will be celebrating their engagement tonight at Paris Resorts in Las Vegas, one person who will be sidelined is the singer’s mom Lynne Spears.

When Gossip Cop reached out to her, Lynne said she’s battling a bad case of the flu, but thinks it’s “all wonderful” that her daughter is tying the knot to Trawick.

As reported earlier today, Spears and Trawick got engaged on Thursday night after two years of dating.

Trawick popped the question with a Neil Lane engagement ring that he and the designer had been working on for “a while.”

Neil Lane designed Britney Spears’ engagement ring, the jeweler confirms to Gossip Cop.

He tells us he worked with her fiancé Jason Trawick for “a while” to design what he calls Spears’ “dream ring.”

The bauble reportedly features a 3-plus carat round stone and pave diamonds.

Lane has worked on a number of high-profile engagement rings, including the diamond-and-ruby sparkler Eric Johnson gave to Jessica Simpson last year.

As Gossip Cop reported earlier today, Spears and Trawick became engaged on Thursday after two years of dating.

The proposal happened last night.

“She’s very happy and they’ll be celebrating this weekend,” a source close to Spears tells Gossip Cop.

The pair plans to begin with a party on Friday in Las Vegas.

Spears hinted at the news this morning, tweeting, “OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. Can’t wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!!”

She and Trawick been dating for more than two years.

He worked as Spears’ agent until last May, when he left William Morris Endeavor to join a start-up company named Famos.

Spears has been married twice before — to Jason Alexander in 2004 (a union that was quickly annulled), and later that year to Kevin Federline, from whom she filed for divorce in 2006.

Late on Thursday night, the Las Vegas Review-Journal speculated that Britney Spears may be having a “Vegas engagement party” on Friday at Chateau nightclub at the Paris Resort.

According to the story, “Britney Spears and her manager Jason Trawick are engaged and celebrating the occasion and Trawick’s 40th birthday in Las Vegas on Friday.”

As proof of the imminent engagement, the Las Vegas Review-Journal explains there’s “unusually tight secrecy surrounding her appearance tonight at Chateau,” and “Spears’ camp insisted that various parties sign confidentiality agreements.”

Picking up on the Vegas outlet’s report, TMZ says, “Jason’s plans to pop the question,” and “Britney knows they’re getting engaged, so it’s not going to be a big surprise.”

Gossip Cop is looking into verifying these stories.

Of course, should Trawick and Spears get engaged right now, it would not be a huge shock since the couple has happily been together for the past two years.

Earlier this week, In Touch erroneously claimed that Trawick had already proposed to Spears, but that she turned him down.

In Touch reports that Jason Trawick proposed to Britney Spears with a “massive engagement ring” on her 30th birthday — but she turned him down.

A supposed source for the mag says that on December 2, “Jason got down on one knee and asked,” but Spears “panicked and said she needed time to think.”

The alleged Spears pal claims, “Britney is planning to say yes eventually,” and that her refusal is just “a power move to keep Justin waiting.”

Well, that’s an interesting tactic.

Meanwhile, another so -called “insider” contends that Spears said no to Trawick because she “doesn’t want anyone thinking she’s making another rash decision,” as she did in her two previous marriages.

“She won’t rush into anything without giving it a lot of thought,” explains the source.

Uh, they’ve been together for more than two years.

So what’s really going on here?

Basically, In Touch knows it’s quite likely that Trawick and Spears could get engaged soon, and this is the tab’s way of being “ahead” of the story.

Nice try.

A rep for Spears laughed off the turned down proposal tale, telling Gossip Cop it’s entirely made up.

Britney Spears could be getting engaged soon, but the decision to marry Jason Trawick is not her own, according to Star magazine.

The mag says Spears’ family is pressuring her to wed her boyfriend “against her will,” quoting an alleged “insider” who claims, “Marrying Jason Trawick is the last thing the vulnerable singer wants or needs.”

Star doesn’t give a reason why the Spears family is allegedly pushing to marry her off, but insists the singer and Trawick’s two-year relationship “has mainly become one of convenience rather than true love.”

The “source” explains that with Trawick, Spears “has someone at her beck and call to tend to her 24/7, and Jason, of course, gets a continual bankroll.”

“Jason is a gold digger,” states the source, adding, “It’s obvious that’s why he’s pushing her to tie the knot.”

The tabloid says despite Spears’ supposed open reluctance to marrying Trawick, he’s sure to pop the question soon.

Another purported insider says, “Everyone around Britney is acting like the wedding would be her happy ending… but pushing her into a loveless marriage could end up being another huge mistake.”

Please.

Of all the ridiculous restrictions the tabloids have imposed on Spears (such as the alleged cell phone “ban” and touring “curfew“), this one has to be the most absurd.

Spears is a 30-year-old woman who’s dating Trawick on her own volition.

And Trawick stopped working as her agent last spring, so we’re not sure where the tabloid gets the idea that he receives a “continual bankroll” from dating her.

Similarly, if they were to wed, there would likely be a prenuptial agreement since Spears is still under her father’s conservatorship.

In any case, a rep for Spears tells Gossip Cop the story is “not true.”

“Glee” is set to celebrate the King of Pop.

Michael Jackson will be the focus of a tribute episode on January 24, with the cast set to perform 10-12 songs from the late hit maker.

A rep for “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy confirms the news to Gossip Cop.

Jackson’s “Thriller” was a big part of the show’s post-Super Bowl episode last February.

In the past, the show has done single-artist tribute episodes for Britney Spears, Madonna and Lady Gaga.

TV Guide was the first outlet to confirm the Jackson show.

Someone’s going Gaga here, but it’s not Britney Spears.

An alleged Spears cover of Lady Gaga‘s “The Edge of Glory” is making its rounds on the Internet today, with places like New York magazine’s ‘Vulture’ blog speculating that the video may be legitimate.

Vulture writes, “Don’t believe everything you read, but this very well may be Britney Spears singing Lady Gaga’s ‘The Edge of Glory,’” noting, “Because, honestly, who else could warble out of tune quite like Britney?”

However, it only took Gossip Cop a few minutes to discover the video is nothing more than a (quite talented) YouTube subscriber impersonating Spears’ voice.

The impersonator is seemingly well known in the YouTube world, and has done a number of faux covers in the past, including “Spears” signing Amy Winehouse‘s “Rehab” and Christina Aguilera‘s “What a Girl Wants.”

A different user made a fake artwork image for the impersonator’s “Edge of Glory” rendition, which apparently tricked the blogs into thinking it was a legit Spears rendition, even though the subscriber specifically points out in a note on the image: “This is fake, I made this.”

“Britney’s Engaged,” reads the headline of an OK! story that claims Britney Spears and Jason Trawick are now engaged.

According to the tabloid, the couple is even “planning a tropical wedding this spring” in either Maui or Costa Rica.

And the mag quotes a so-called “confidante” noting, “They’ve been engaged since this summer.”

Of course, if the tab’s source was really a “confidante,” then why doesn’t OK! know one single detail about the supposed engagement — such as when in the summer they got engaged, how Trawick popped the question, or even where he asked Spears to marry him.

That’s because Spears, who’s seriously dating Trawick and quite likely will tie the knot with him, is NOT engaged.

A rep for the singer tells Gossip Cop, OK! is “wrong.”

Pauly D performed as Britney Spears‘ opening act last August, and now the pop star’s Femme Fatale Tour could serve as the backdrop for part of Pauly’s new reality show.

The “Jersey Shore” personality will reportedly bring cameras from his upcoming spinoff series to Spears’ December 10 show in Puerto Rico.

A source tells Gossip Cop that the filming production has not been fully set, but expects Spears’ concert to be involved in some way.

Reality TV enthusiasts will recall that Spears and her then-husband Kevin Federline starred in and produced their own home video-based series called “Britney & Kevin: Chaotic” in 2005.

“Britney Wants Plastic Surgery,” reads the headline of a piece in In Touch about Britney Spears.

According to the tabloid, Spears, who turns 30 on December 2, is “not happy with her physique.”

A so-called “friend” tells the mag, “She’s finally dealing with the effects of aging… She has curves and some extra weight in places she doesn’t want.”

The alleged pal says that in addition to working out with a personal trainer, Spears has “met with a plastic surgeon to explore more extreme options.”

Like what?

Oddly, In Touch doesn’t even mention one single procedure.

That’s because the only thing “extreme” here is the level to which the mag has gone to find a hook for a “Britney Turning 30″ story.

We’re fairly certain the other tabs will come up with “Britney at 30: Miserable and Not Married” pieces in the weeks leading up to her big 3-0.

Britney Spears is a well-known lap dance enthusiast, having provided Pauly D and other notables with on-stage straddling as she tours the world in support of Femme Fatale.

At her show in London on Monday, Spears did her striptease for Joe Jonas.

Jonas, her touring partner, looked both happy and wildly uncomfortable, which seems like the right reaction to being straddled in front of a filled arena.

Last week, In Touch ridiculously claimed that Britney Spears switched hotels in Budapest because she was refused a second helping of food. Now OK! magazine reports the singer has “insisted” that a “stripper pole be installed in her hotel rooms.”

According to the tab, Spears is so adamant about it that “when a top Dublin hotel denied her request, Brit had to move to the more accommodating Four Seasons, which installed the steel pole for her.”

But is the “I Wanna Go” singer really the high-maintenance diva the tabloids make her out to be?

Not at all.

A rep for Spears tells Gossip Cop the rumor is “absolutely not true.”
