The National Enquirer returns to one of its most stomach-turning practices this week, claiming without evidence that a celebrity has suffered serious trauma.

This time Britney Spears is the target.

According to the tab, the performer “is deliberately hurting herself and mutilating her body” to cope with despondence over father Jamie Spears’ continued control of her life.
