Billy Crystal will host the 2012 Oscars.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has confirmed the news after Crystal revealed it on Twitter.
“Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up the prescriptions,” he wrote on Thursday. “Looking forward to the show.”
He’s hosted the Academy Awards eight times in the past, most recently in 2004.
