Regis Philbin says goodbye to “Live with Regis and Kelly” on November 18, and during his last week on the air he’s going to get a sendoff from some of his “favorite guests and friends.”

Among those booked on Philbin’s final week are Jimmy Fallon and Don Rickles (November 14), Donald Trump (November 15), David Letterman (November 16), and his former co-host Kathie Lee Gifford (November 17).

The final shows will also feature musical performances from Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, and Bret Michaels.

Philbin’s last day on the air will be a look-back at his nearly three decades hosting the hit morning show, along with a few surprises.

Bret Michaels and Donald Trump could be getting back into the reality show business together.

The Poison rocker, who won Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” in 2010, is reportedly in talks with The Donald to develop a series called “Something To Believe In.”

According to the New York Post, the show would feature Michaels traveling across America and helping people dealing with adversity.

“Mr. Trump thinks Bret is a wonderful guy. [He] wants to consider it,” a rep for the business icon says.

Michaels has gone through his share of tough times of late, having suffered a nearly fatal brain hemorrhage and a stroke last year before bouncing back to perform on stage.

The infamous and long-delayed Bret Michaels-Miley Cyrus “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” duet may be coming soon.

Their rendition of the Poison ballad was meant to be released last year, before rumors surfaced alleging that Michaels had an affair with Cyrus’ mom Tish.

Michaels vehemently denies any such relationship.

The would-be scandal came in the wake of Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus filing for divorce, an action they reversed last week.

In the same period since “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” was due to drop, Miley Cyrus stirred controversy with a video that showed her (legally) smoking salvia.

Now Michaels tells E! he expects the single to be released this summer.

Bret Michaels is currently recuperating in the intensive care unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix after undergoing surgery to close a hole in his heart.

Doctors discovered Michaels had a hole in his heart when he was being treated for a brain hemorrhage back in April.

A closure device inserted into Michaels’ heart will remain there permanently in order to stem the abnormal blood flow between two chambers of his heart, which doctors believed caused his warning stroke.

According to Star magazine, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus are “back on!”

The tabloid’s “insider” claims Miley‘s parents are on the road to reconciliation after having announced their divorce in October.

“They’ve mellowed and are reaching an understanding,” says Star‘s source, who references Tish’s alleged affair with Bret Michaels (the one that never happened).

“Tish knows she screwed up big time by getting too close to Bret,” adds the Star “insider.”

Unfortunately for the tabloid, the supposed Michaels fling is phony, but the Cyrus split is very real.

“Not at all true,” a source close to the Cyrus family tells Gossip Cop about the notion Billy Ray and Tish are “back on.”

A week and a half ago, Bing.com revealed its Top 10 Most Searched List with Kim Kardashian leading the pack, and Lady Gaga nabbing the fourth overall spot.

Now, the search engine company has unveiled its Top Searched Musicians of 2010, and Gaga took the Top Spot.

King of Pop Michael Jackson came in third place, edged out for second by new prince of pop Justin Bieber.

Next were four mouthes from the South: Miley Cyrus (#4), Britney Spears (#5) Taylor Swift (#6) and Jessica Simpson (#7).

And being in jail didn’t keep Lil Wayne off the list. He came in eight place.

Interestingly, Madonna didn’t make the cut of Top 15.

Miley Cyrus is rumored to have changed her mind about performing “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” on tonight’s American Music Awards after whispers spread that Bret Michaels had an affair with her mom Tish Cyrus.

The teen superstar allegedly switched to “Love and Forgiveness” two weeks ago, which would have coincided with her mom’s rumored infidelity, according to TMZ.

But a source close to Cyrus tells Gossip Cop she was always going to perform her own song on the show, and was never scheduled to do the Michaels tune.

Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce last month.

Almost immediately, a tabloid reported that Tish Cyrus had cheated with Michaels.

Michaels has denied any romantic relationship.

Bret Michaels denied a rumored affair with Tish Cyrus during a “Fox & Friends” appearance this morning.

Asked whether he and Cyrus were ever more than just friends, Michaels replied, “The answer is no.”

Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus , parents of superstar Miley Cyrus, announced last month that they’d filed for divorce after 17 years of marriage.

Shortly thereafter, a tabloid reported that Tish Cyrus and Michaels had begun a romantic affair when he and Miley Cyrus worked together professionally.

“When I was in the studio, Miley came in and sang on my song, a song I wrote for my album ‘Custom Built,’ and she came over and sang on that and honestly, she did a beautiful job, and that was it,” said Michaels.

“Then they started with all the controversy.”

“Miley Blamed in Parents’ $100 Million Divorce,” reads the headline of a piece in the National Enquirer.

The tab claims “Miley Cyrus‘ blockbuster success ripped apart her parents’ marriage.”

How so?

“The fight over Miley is what tore Tish and Billy Ray apart. They can’t agree on how to raise her, and it’s wrecked their marriage,” says an unnamed “insider,” who adds, “Billy Ray thinks Miley is becoming a spoiled-brat monster – and he thinks it’s all Tish’s fault.”

The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer allegedly thinks his wife is “too permissive and never says no to Miley.”

Wait…

It’s all Tish’s fault because she’s supposedly not strict enough with one of their six combined kids?

Well, that’s mostly the Enquirer‘s take, though toward the end of the piece, for good measure, the tabloid adds there have been jealousy issues from both spouses.

“Tish has long struggled with jealousy issues concerning Billy Ray’s female fans,” and “the intimacy between Tish and Bret [Michaels] was pretty evident to Billy Ray,” notes the mag.

For the record, there’s nothing going on between Tish and Michaels. A rep for the Poison singer told Gossip Cop yesterday that claims of an affair were “untrue.”

As for the Enquirer‘s allegations that the couple is splitting because Tish isn’t enough of a disciplinarian, and both spouses have jealousy concerns, a rep for Tish tells Gossip Cop, “None of it is true.”

OK, but how much of it is inaccurate from Billy Ray’s perspective?

“The whole thing is wrong,” the singer’s rep tells Gossip Cop.

At least they can agree on that.

According to Us Weekly, Billy Ray Cyrus found out about the alleged fling, leading to the couple’s announcement last week that they plan to divorce.

Earlier this year, Michaels did a duet with Miley Cyrus called “Nothing to Lose.”

Us Weekly cites an insider who alleges that Tish and Michaels began a secret fling around this time, explaining, “It was a professional relationship that turned into something more.”

A rep for Michaels, however, tells Gossip Cop, it’s “untrue about [an] affair.”

Bret Michaels will co-host the Miss Universe Pageant with news personality Natalie Morales, it was announced on Tuesday.

The ceremony, featuring genetically fortunate contestants from more than 80 nations, airs live from Las Vegas on August 23 on NBC, where Morales reports for “Today” and Michaels recently won pageant co-owner Donald Trump‘s “Celebrity Apprentice.”

It’s just the latest in a string of high-profile roles for Michaels since his remarkable recovery from a brain hemorrhage and other health issues earlier this year.

He will not be required to don a swimsuit or evening gown.

Drugs were found on two of Bret Michaels‘ tour buses last night, Gossip Cop can confirm.

Michaels and his entourage were stopped for a routine traffic stop on Indiana’s Interstate 69 at 11:30 pm, during which police dogs found marijuana and illegal drugs.

The Poison singer was riding the bus where only the pot was found; the other bus had pot and other illicit substances. (The police would not elaborate what specifically the other drugs were.)

No arrests were made, but citations were issued.

Prosecutors will decide whether to press charges.

Star magazine reports “exclusively” that “Bret Michaels has proposed to his on-and-off girlfriend of 16 years Kristi Lynn Gibson.”

According to the tab’s website, Michaels proposed “after the 4th of July holiday weekend… at his ranch outside of Scottsdale, AZ., while on a break from his Roses & Thorns American tour.”

Really?

The tab even has a so-called “friend” who claims that following Michaels’ brain hemorrhage he’s a changed man.

“He’s woken up… He now knows he wants to be a husband,” says the supposed source.

Star further notes Gibson was wearing “what appeared to be an engagement ring while accompanying Bret to his David Letterman appearance in New York City on July 12.”

Naturally, the mag’s alleged source adds, “Kristi is thrilled that they will be getting married.”

Nevertheless, there’s no date set, “But when Bret’s tour ends they will work out the details,” says the “source,” adding, “Bret wants to be in excellent health before he walks down the aisle. And, of course, he needs time to find the perfect bandanna to wear on his big day!”

This story is not only wrong – it’s made up.

“We are not engaged yet… We’re a work in progress,” Michaels said today on CBS’ “Early Show” while promoting his new CD, “Custom Built.”

Michaels, who has two daughters, Raine Elizabeth and Jorja Bleu, with Gibson, explained the bauble as “a promise ring … a friendship ring, with benefits.”

Bret Michaels is feeling better and looking forward to a future that might include “American Idol.”

“We have a meeting in L.A. in a couple weeks and we’re going to sit down and talk,” the recovering rocker tells Parade magazine. “I would love to be a judge on American Idol,” he adds, “I think I would bring a lot to the table.”

Rather than imitating Simon Cowell, Michaels believes an eventual replacement should have his own identity. “Bring Bret Michaels in to be original to who and what I am,” he contends. “Bring someone who can bring a little grit, true grit back to the show.”

Last month, Michaels won this season of “Celebrity Apprentice” after a series of health problems, including a near-fatal brain hemorrhage.

“I’m feeling pretty good,” says Michaels. “Each day I feel a bit better… I’ve learned a lot of it is mind over matter. Once I knew that I had a chance to survive the brain hemorrhage, I was taking life and grabbing it for everything I could.”

A new VH1 reality series, “Life As I Know It,” will follow Michaels in a more grounded (and family-oriented) manner than his previous hit show, “Rock of Love.”

Michaels is touring once again and has a solo album, Custom Built, debuting on July 6.

Bret Michaels is back.

Just days after winning “Celebrity Apprentice” following a near-fatal brain hemorrhage and warning stroke, Michaels returned to the stage, performing for a frenzied sellout crowd at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, Miss on Friday.

“I’ve got a little bitty hitch in my left giddy-up,” Michaels told his fans, “But I think we’ll be all right.”

He showed virtually no signs of poor health, smiling and energetically ricocheting around the stage in his trademark bandana and cowboy hat.

“Tonight we’re going to throw a party,” announced Michaels. “I’m thankful to be alive.”

Michaels sang Poison hits such as “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Talk Dirty to Me,” also thrilling the crowd with a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s “Sweet Home Alabama.”

VH1 camera crews were on hand to film for the new reality series “Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It,” which the channel will preview on Monday.

On last night’s episode of “American Idol,” host Ryan Seacrest pointed out three striking similarities between the ninth season’s final two contestants.

Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze are both 24. They both auditioned in Chicago. And they both want to be your next American Idol.

But, as Seacrest also said, only one will actually earn the title.

And after three rounds of performances last night, the judges all but declared Bowersox the winner in advance of tonight’s finale.

Bret Michaels says he has “every intention of trying to continue [his] tour” Friday, despite his recent brain hemorrhage and a “warning stroke” that landed back in the hospital last week.

The rocker is set to take the stage in Biloxi, Mississippi but admits he is “not at 100% yet.”

Nevertheless, Michaels says he believes seeing fans’ “rockin rollin, smiling faces on the road…is the best medicine I can think of right now.”

“All the good vibes and well wishes gave me the strength to go back to New York and win Celebrity Apprentice,” says the rocker, adding that he thanks “each and every one of you for all of your support and awesomeness.”

Michaels is scheduled to have heart surgery in the fall to repair the hole in his heart that was discovered through tests after his stroke last week.

“Lost” won.

The series finale of ABC’s mystery-adventure-drama beat the competition, including NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice” season-ender, to top the overnight national ratings.

Preliminary numbers give “Lost” 13.5 million viewers, with a 5.8 rating/15 share among adults aged 18-49. The last half-hour (which aired after primetime) rose to 15.3 million viewers.

It was the highest-rated “Lost” in two years, and up roughly 30% from last season’s finale.

“Celebrity Apprentice” also hit very big, with 9.3 million viewers marking a 10% gain over last year’s “hiring.”

“I didn’t travel this far in this much pain to lose,” Bret Michaels said shortly before Donald Trump declared, “You’re hired!”

Michaels, the crowd favorite, was also assured by Ivanka Trump before being crowned the winner, “You have reason to be here on merit.”

And while the show’s other finalist, Holly Robinson Peete, raised the most money of any previous contestant (ever) in an earlier task, and was called “amazing” by Trump, ultimately Michaels’ won the final project – creating a new Snapple flavor.

It was an emotional evening for all who watched the “Poison” singer limp on stage just weeks after suffering a nearly fatal brain hemorrhage, and then a warning stroke just days ago.

Even Michaels’ opponent was brought to tears.

When Trump noted, “You’re crying,” Robinson Peete responded, “Who in America isn’t?” 

In the end, both Michaels and Robinson Peete were winners. 

A lifelong diabetic, Michaels was awarded the winning $250,000, which is going to the American Diabetes Association.

And Snapple donated an additional $250,000 to Robin Peete’s HollyRod Foundation, which assists families with a sick relative.

On tonight’s “Celebrity Apprentice” live finale, Donald Trump will pick either Holly Robinson Peete or Bret Michaels as the winner.

It’s going to be a very tough call.

Peete was a leader throughout the season, serving as project manager more often than any other contestant. Michaels also performed well, although his main concern in recent weeks has been health, as first a brain hemorrhage and then a”warning stroke” landed the rocker in the hospital.

The final competition — a Snapple flavor showdown between Peete’s Compassionberry Tea and Michaels’ Trop-A-Rocka Blend — will determine who takes the prize.

Despite Michaels’ health setbacks, as of now, he is still slated to attend the finale.

Tests indicated he also has a patent forum ovale, commonly known as a hole in the heart. Though treatable, the news shed doubt on whether Michaels would actually make it to the live broadcast this Sunday, where Donald Trump will either hire or fire the rocker.

An NBC spokesperson tells Gossip Cop, “At this point, we’re cautiously optimistic that he will be able to attend,” noting the decision is up to Michaels and his doctor.

Whether he actually will, says the spokesperson, “we don’t have a final word on that.”

Additionally, “Apprentice” creator Mark Burnett says he’s hopeful Michaels will be at the finale, noting to Gossip Cop that the singer is “a tough guy” and a “good guy.”

Although things can change because of his condition, a rep for Michaels was a bit more definitive, telling Gossip Cop, “Yes, he will” be at the finale.

Bret Michaels was rushed back to the hospital this week after doctors discovered a hole in his heart.

Medical staff determined that Michaels suffered a “warning stroke,” known clinically as a transient ischemic attack.

The rocker, already recovering from a brain hemorrhage, complained of “numbness on the left side of his body, predominately his face and hands,” according to a statement on his official website.

A series of tests showed a patent forum ovale, which is a hole in the heart.

It’s believed to be “operable and treatable.”

Before his highly anticipated appearance on this Sunday’s live finale of “Celebrity Apprentice,” an emotional Bret Michaels spoke with Oprah Winfrey in his first TV interview since suffering a near-fatal brain hemorrhage.

Appearing via satellite, Michaels told the host about his ordeal.

“It sounded like a small handgun went off in the back of my head,” Michaels said of the April 21 trauma. “It felt like a pop. They call it a thunderclap… I knew something was wrong.”

His likelihood of survival was thought to be small.

Michaels recalled overhearing the doctor telling girlfriend Kristi Gibson, with whom he has two kids, “If you have children, you should bring them to the hospital now.”

His nine-year-old daughter Raine told Oprah she was terrified.

The rocker said he prayed when things looked grim, telling God, “I know I’ve done a lot of rotten things, I’m asking for a break here… I promise I’ll be better in the future.”

“Celebrity Apprentice” is down to its final two contestants — Bret Michaels and Holly Robinson Peete — with the live finale coming on Sunday, May 23.

But a rumor claims the winner’s already been chosen.

Michaels’ recent brain hemorrhage made headlines and stirred an enormous public outpouring of sympathy.

Now a story on PopEater suggests Donald Trump is “pretty biased” after the Michaels drama and “may choose Bret simply for ratings.”

One TV executive allegedly tells the site that “Trump will definitely make [Michaels] the winner.”

The final challenge between Peete and Michaels — to create a new flavor of tea for Snapple — was taped long before the rocker’s hemorrhage. But Trump’s final “hiring” decision happens during the live finale on May 23, following several weeks of press coverage concerning Michaels’ hospitalization and recovery.

First, there’s a bit of a logical flaw here — people will tune in to see Michaels (period) and whether he wins. The ratings should be huge regardless of Trump’s selection during the last few minutes of the program.

And a source close to Trump tells Gossip Cop the business legend “would never compromise the integrity of the show.”

It’s really a no-win. If Trump hires Peete, some will accuse him of kicking Michaels when he’s down. If he goes with Michaels, some will claim it isn’t based on merit.

Either way, it seems a bit beside the point given what Michaels has endured.

Bret Michaels is coming back.

Just five weeks after a major brain hemorrhage, the rocker plans to return to the stage on May 28 in Biloxi, Mississippi, according to an official statement Friday.

Michaels is also scheduled to talk with Oprah Winfrey next week and participate in the May 23 finale of “Celebrity Apprentice.” Solo performances will be followed by a scheduled tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd, kicking off on June 10.

The frontman for band Poison, the diabetic Michaels suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage on April 21.

Originally feared to be near death, he exited the hospital and has been undergoing an intensive physical therapy regimen.

Bret Michaels is stable and improving, according to his physician.

The rock star is walking again and talking very well, reports Dr. Joseph Zambraski, who gave the update from Phoenix, where Michaels is being treated at the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Doctors still don’t know the cause of the brain hemorrhage Michaels suffered, but consider that a good sign.

Zambraski described Michaels as “extremely lucky,” and said, “right now he should be celebrating.”

Michaels is expected to make a “100% recovery” and will be able to resume all normal activities.

Zambraski says he made Michaels “promise that he would make no promises” about future professional plans.
