The rock star is walking again and talking very well, reports Dr. Joseph Zambraski, who gave the update from Phoenix, where Michaels is being treated at the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Though he currently remains hospitalized after suffering a brain hemorrhage last week, Bret Michaels hopes to resume touring May 26. The musician-turned-reality-star “is responding well to tests and treatments,” according to an official update on his Facebook page.

An update on ailing rocker Bret Michaels has just been posted to his Facebook page.

Test results indicate that Michaels has suffered a side effect from last week’s brain hemorrhage called hyponatremia, which refers to a lack of sodium in the body resulting in seizures.

Michaels remains hospitalized in an intensive care unit at an undisclosed hospital. Doctors describe his condition as “critical but stable.”
