At least two men have suffered alarming, apparently epilepitc spells while watching the vampire franchise’s latest theatrical release.

In its fourth day of release, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 crossed $300 million at the worldwide box office.

The movie earned $9.85 million domestically on Monday, following a $139.5 million opening weekend.

Combined with an overseas haul just under $153 million, Breaking Dawn ended Monday with an overall total of $300.9 million.

“Those close to Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart fear the couple’s offscreen romance may fizzle now that filming is finished” on Breaking Dawn, writes OK! magazine in a clueless bit of speculation about the stars’ future together.

The tabloid’s headline – “Will Their Love Survive Twilight?” – is particularly ridiculous given that just two weeks ago the same publication claimed Pattinson and Stewart were set to marry.

Now, because there is not any actual engagement news, OK! is following the tabloid pattern of swinging toward the opposite extreme, without bothering to detour into reality.

As expected, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 dominated the box office.

The movie debuted to $72 million on Friday, the second-biggest single-day opening in history, and has taken in $139.5 million for the weekend. Internationally, the film has topped $144 million for a combined $283.5 million.

Coming in a distant second was Happy Feet Two with $21.8 million.

Nabbing third was Immortals with $12.5 million in ticket sales.

“Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart row at Twilight London premiere,” reads the headline of a piece in the Mirror, which goes on to say Pattinson had ”a bust-up with girlfriend Kristen Stewart at the London premiere of Breaking Dawn”

The tabloid reports, “It all kicked off when [Pattinson] suggested they do photos with just the two of them. He kept asking Kristen if she was OK and she snapped back, ‘We’ll talk about it later’.” For real?
