The surprise album was released digitally-only last month, with the songs automatically being added to iTunes users’ libraries, whether they wanted it or not. It was the first time Apple had agreed to such a project, and customers weren’t pleased.

Bono Supports South African Song That Advocates Violence


Bono, who just finished performing his “360 Degree Tour” show in Johannesburg, has caused controversy after telling South Africa’s Sunday Times that songs like “Shoot the Boer,” have their place. The word “Boer” translates to “farmer” and originally referred to the Dutch settlers who came to South Africa in the 18th Century, but is now considered a derogatory term for white people.
