The film’s director, Peter Berg, has added the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover model to the nautical blockbuster, her rep confirms to Gossip Cop.

Rihanna is set to star in her first movie, according to a report.

“Battleship” will also star TV hunks Taylor Kitsch (“Friday Night Lights”) and Alexander Skarsgard (“True Blood”), claims Variety.com, and “takes place across the seas, the skies and over land in a battle for planet survival against a superior force.”
