Multiple outlets say the couple has broken up after nearly two years together.

The breakup occurred last week, according to Us Weekly.

Avril Lavigne is the victim of a death hoax.

According to the gross prank from Global Associated News, “Musician Avril Lavigne is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today – January 4, 2012.”

“The singer/songwriter & novice snowboarder was vacationing at Whistler Blackcomb ski resort located 125 km north of Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada with family and friends,” continues the phony article. “Witnesses indicate that Avril Lavigne lost control of her snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed.”

It then reads, “Avril Lavigne was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the musician died instantly from the impact of the crash.”

It is 100% fake.

Lavigne is NOT dead.

She’s alive and well.

The same stupid accident rumor “killed” Lavigne almost exactly one year ago.

Chris Rene rocked “The X Factor” stage Wednesday – with a little celebrity help.

Avril Lavigne joined the finalist for a performance of her very first hit, “Complicated.”

Rene, however, put a fresh twist on the song, free-styling an additional verse.

The judges called their rendition “a little shaky” but also full of “total joy and confidence.”

Rene and Lavigne faced off against Melanie Amaro and R. Kelly, and Josh Krajcik and Alanis Morissette.

More stars, including Justin Bieber, are expected to perform on part two of the finale, airing Thursday.

Jenner filed a police report of assault with a deadly weapon on Monday.

Avril Lavigne got attacked in the early hours of Sunday morning by a handful of assailants, and while trying to break up the fight, her boyfriend Brody Jenner was hit over the head with a bottle, Gossip Cop has learned.

Lavigne was assaulted around 12:30 a.m. at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

The singer tweeted, “I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is f**ked.”

Lavigne explained she had a “black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not ok to be abusive to others.”

And when Jenner attempted to break up the brawl, someone whacked him with a bottle.

Eventually, the fight was broken up by the hotel’s security before the participants fled the scene.

Jenner later told his side to the police, and went on his own to a hospital for treatment.

He tweeted afterwards, “Interesting Saturday night… Just got [out] of the hospital with a new scar on my face.”

While the night ended badly, Jenner had tweeted earlier in the evening, “Having the best night with the love of my life @AvrilLavigne so happy right now!”

“Is Avril Lavigne hiding a baby bump?” asks X17 Online.

The sloppy, facts-challenged site shows photos of the singer wearing a sweater and carrying her Birkin bag in front of “her noticeably large belly,” leading X17 to speculate that she’s pregnant.

She and boyfriend Brody Jenner “have never been happier,” says a so-called “source.”

“Avril has been talking about how much she wants to have his baby and take their relationship further,” explains X17′s insider. “Expect her to make the announcement soon.”

Of course, whenever X17 asks you to “expect” something, it’s a pretty good indication to assume the exact opposite.

While she’s wearing loose clothing AND walking with a bag, Lavigne is not hiding any sort of bump.

A rep for Lavigne tells Gossip Cop she’s NOT pregnant.

Kendall Jenner strutted down the runway at the Sherri Hill Spring 2012 show yesterday, just two days after her little sister Kylie Jenner graced the catwalk wearing ensembles designed by Avril Lavigne.

An excited Kendall later tweeted, “OMGGGG just finished my first ever runway show for @sherrihill!!! #amazing #imaddictedtorunway!”

Like Kylie, the older Jenner did her catwalk in front of big sisters Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian.

A proud Kim tweeted, ”Must be emotional today bc when Kendall walked out on the runway I almost cried! I can’t believe she’s living her dream at such a young age.”

And Kourtney added, “@KendallJenner seriously strolled like a major supermodel down that catwalk tonight at the Sherri Hill fashion show. All I can say is WOW!”

This isn’t Kendall’s first foray into fashion. This summer she shot an ad campaign for swimwear designer Leah Madden.

Kylie Jenner, the up-and-koming kiddie Kardashian, made her debut as a runway model yesterday during New York’s Fashion Week.

The 14-year-old graced the catwalk wearing ensembles designed by Avril Lavigne for Abbey Dawn. She strutted her stuff in front of brother Brody Jenner (who dates Lavigne), as well as Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and new family import Kris Humphries.

Not surprisingly, Kylie earned glowing reviews from the clan.

“She was so fab!” tweeted Kim, with Brody writing, “She looked beautiful and was such a natural. Proud to be her brother.”

Rihanna has released the full video for “Cheers (Drink To That).”

The documentary-style footage gives fans a glimpse into what life as Rihanna must be like, as we see the superstar backstage with friends (including Avril Lavigne), traveling by private jet, partying, getting ready in her dressing room, performing on stage, and otherwise living La Vida Rihanna.

Avril Lavigne had a scare on stage in Brazil thanks to an overzealous fan.

During her Tuesday night concert, the singer shrieked when an eager young supporter rushed the stage and bolted for Lavigne before being grabbed by security.

After her initial fright, though, an unhurt Lavigne laughed off the incident, telling the crowd, “Just getting in the moment there… OK, let’s try that again.”

Star magazine claims Kourtney Kardashian has a sex tape, Kim Kardashian hates Avril Lavigne, and Lamar Odom scorns Kris Humphries in a cover story just as scattershot and desperate as it sounds.

Yes, the tab has mashed a bunch of bogus stories together for a kind of Kardashian Kasserole that’s high on drama and low on evidence.

First is the rumored hardcore footage.

According to Star, Kourtney made a graphic video, “nearly as raunchy as Kim’s,” with a man who is not Scott Disick.

A person who claims to have viewed the tape claims, “It’s pretty graphic, and there are clear shots of her face.”

Uh-huh.

Gossip Cop spoke with a Kardashian insider, and we were assured there’s no sex tape. The family has dealt with the issue before but is not worried about a repeat.

Meanwhile, Star also fills space by reporting on a couple of Khloe and Kim-related faux feuds.

The tabloid insists Khloe’s hubby Odom is jealous of the attention Kim’s fiancé Humphries is getting as a new Kardashian beau, with Odom even allegedly bashing his fellow NBA player’s on-court abilities. “Now relations between the two couples sometimes are awkward,” says Star.

But that’s not all!

Kim is also supposedly fighting stepbrother Brody Jenner over his girlfriend, Avril Lavigne, whom the sisters are said to hate.

“From the get-go, the girls disliked her,” explains a so-called “source.” Jenner was allegedly so incensed by his family’s anti-Lavigne stance, he “threatened to cut ties with his famous siblings.”

These alleged feuds, though, exist only in Star‘s fevered imagination.

As with Kourtney’s non-existent “sex tape,” Gossip Cop is told there’s no bad blood among Kim, Khloe, Brody and their partners.

A few days ago we reported that Justin Bieber’s stage crew refused to go to Japan for two concerts scheduled later this month over fears of radiation from the recent nuclear disaster.

The crew argued it was unsafe to visit the country for the May 17 and May 19 shows, noting that Avril Lavigne and Slash have already cancelled their Japan concerts.

We heard Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun told the crew that the singer didn’t want to disappoint the kids who had bought tickets, and noted that the Japanese government said it was safe in both Osaka and Tokyo.

While some crew members are still bailing, Bieber is sticking to his concert commitments.

He tweeted, “5 shows left of this leg of the #myworldtour! Manila, Hong Kong, Taipei, Osaka and Tokyo! Like I said…we are going to JAPAN! #supportjapan.”

Justin Bieber‘s stage crew is refusing to go to Japan for two concerts scheduled later this month over fears of radiation from the recent nuclear disaster.

The crew is apparently arguing that it’s unsafe to visit the country for the planned May 17 and May 19 shows, noting that Avril Lavigne and Slash have already cancelled their Japan concerts.

The teen star’s manager Scooter Braun reportedly told the crew that Bieber didn’t want to disappoint the kids who had bought tickets, and noted that the Japanese government has said it’s safe in both Osaka and Tokyo, where the shows are scheduled.

Gossip Cop reached out to a source on Bieber’s tour in Australia, who confirms the situation and tells us they’re “dealing with it now.”

Avril Lavigne is the latest victim of a sick, FAKE death hoax.

It should.

Much like last week’s rumors about Owen Wilson dying while snowboarding, Eddie Murphy passing away, Adam Sandler having died, and  the same disgusting rumor about Charlie Sheen – this is NOT TRUE.

Lavigne is VERY MUCH ALIVE.

Three weeks ago, there was an equally vile death prank about Morgan Freeman, and this morning there was a death hoax about Aretha Franklin.

These hoaxes have happened many times before.

They’re not funny. They’re not cool. They’re not entertaining.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Gossip Cop is at a total loss as to why anyone would concoct phony fatalities, and sincerely hopes the only thing that dies out are these horrible hoaxes.

Justin Bieber enjoys a busy schedule with his music, upcoming book, TV appearances, and a movie, but what he wants to clear is… his skin.

The teen superstar has just signed on as a spokesperson for Proactiv Plus For Teens, a product that promises to rid kids’ faces of pimples and blemishes.

In a promo video, Bieber explains, “There are some things that just come with being a teenager,” but “there’s no way I’m going to let a bunch of zits get in my way.”

OK.

Bieber joins other past Proactiv advocates, including Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne, and Mandy Moore.

“Avril & Brody’s reality show,” reads the headline of an In Touch story, which goes on to assert, “Brody Jenner has been pitching a reality show about his new romance – now he’s just got to convince his girlfriend Avril Lavigne to co-star.”

Really?

According to a so-called “insider,” Jenner “came up with the idea for a reality show, and he’s begging Avril to do it… She’s in love with him, but isn’t sure about it, yet she doesn’t want to tell him no.”

No worries…

Lavigne won’t have to say no, because – contrary to In Touch‘s claim that “Jenner has been pitching a reality show” – he is currently NOT trying to peddle a program about their relationship.

Gossip Cop spoke with Jenner’s agent – the guy who would actually be pitching the show – and he assures us Jenner’s not working on a reality show.

A simmering feud between Lindsay Lohan and Avril Lavigne reportedly triggered a public fight recently at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont.

According to the New York Post, Lavigne was at a table with friends including boyfriend Brody Jenner when Lohan approached. Lavigne is said to have started the smackdown by yelling, “Get the hell out of my face, you are fake, you are a loser. I don’t like false people. Stay away from me and my friends.”

Enraged, Lohan supposedly returned fire by screaming, “Don’t threaten me!” and tried to have security toss Lavigne from the premises. When Lavigne was allowed to stay, Lohan reportedly “stormed off.”

An eyewitness tells Gossip Cop she doesn’t know why there’s bad blood between the two stars, but confirmed both Lavigne’s outburst and Lohan’s attempt to have her booted. We also learned that the incident occurred on April 28.

When Gossip Cop reached out to Lohan for her side of the story, she told us, “This is so lame and untrue.”

But while the Post may have missed portions of her exchange with Lavigne or exaggerated their animosity, it looks like the two did indeed spar, and the Chateau Marmont may not be big enough for them both.

“Look Who’s Back Together!!!” exclaims Perez Hilton about Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley, from whom the “Sk8er Boi” singer filed for divorce a few months ago.

 After several photos were posted of Lavigne and Whibley leaving the London post-premiere party for Alice In Wonderland, Perez wrote, ”Though Avril insists the two are just friends, we think they might be working their way back to each other as lovers!”

He added, “Can’t fight a love like theirs!”

But you can fight poor reporting.

Lavigne, who performed the song “Alice” on the film’s soundtrack, remains friendly with Whibley, and they are both big fans of the movie’s director Tim Burton.

As to whether they will rekindle their romance, however, a source close to Lavigne tells Gossip Cop, “They are not getting back together.”

While Simon Cowell’s future with “American Idol” is still up in the air, it’s just been announced that the new season will begin on January 12 and January 13, with four full hours of auditions from Boston and Atlanta.

Other auditions, which will air later, took place in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Orlando, and Los Angeles, and will feature guest judges Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, and Shania Twain.

On February 17, it will be announced who the 12 male and 12 female semifinalists are, and voting will begin the following week.

And, of course, Ellen DeGeneres will be taking Paula Abdul’s seat.

Hot on the heels of reports she’s with a different wealthy beau, In Touch claims Avril Lavigne, in the midst of a divorce from Deryck Whibley, is planning to move in with Brandon Davis.

According to a “friend,” Lavigne and Davis “have been quietly house-hunting together in Beverly Hills and the nearby Hollywood Hills,” where the two are “looking to share a lease.” “They really get along and they both need a place to live,” the friend helpfully explains to In Touch, “so they decided to move in together.”

No they didn’t.

“It’s not true,” a representative for Lavigne told Gossip Cop. When we asked what wasn’t true – that she’s dating Davis at all, that they’re looking for a home together, etc. – the rep said, “none of it is true.”

Beyonce, who cancelled a performance in Malaysia two years ago amidst protests by Islamic groups over her sexually provocative outfits and demeanor, was slated to hit the stage at a Kuala Lumpur stadium on October 25, but once again she will not be performing in the mostly Muslim nation.

Officially, concert organizers are saying the concert is being “postponed,” and was “solely [the] decision of the artist and has nothing to do with other external reasons.”

However, there was a lot of external pressure, especially from the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, which had voiced its disproval a month ago when it stated, “We are not against entertainment as long as it is within the framework of our culture and our religion… We are against Western sexy performances.”

In the past, Western performers like Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani have covered up their bodies, so as not to offend the nation’s Muslim majority.

Gossip Cop is not holding its breath over a rescheduled concert date.

Less than three weeks after Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley announced they were separating, the singer “has already jumped into a new relationship – with Dole Food Company billionaire Justin Murdock,” claims the Star.

“Avril’s had a thing for Justin for a while,” says a conveniently unnamed source, who adds the alleged couple isn’t ready to go public yet.

Oh, so the reason there aren’t any photos or specific sightings of Lavigne and Murdock together is that they’re keeping it on the down low?

No.

There isn’t any eyewitness proof because, as Lavigne’s rep tells Gossip Cop, this pairing is “totally 100% not true.”

What’s worse is that a source close to Lavigne also tells Gossip Cop that the singer and Murdock “have never met.” 

Well, this time around, even though there’s already anger from some Muslims, Beyonce is standing fierce and will take to the stage on October 25 in Malaysia’s biggest city, Kuala Lumpur for her ‘I Am’ world tour. In the past, Western performers like Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani have covered up their bodies, so as not to offend the nation’s Muslim majority.

Sabki Yusof of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, said, according to the Associated Press, “We are not against entertainment as long as it is within the framework of our culture and our religion… We are against Western sexy performances. We don’t think our people need that.” The group has no plans, as of now, to impede her performance.
