Saoirse Ronan is set to play Melanie Stryder in the adaptation of Twilight author Stephenie Meyer’s ‘The Host.’

Ronan will play Melanie Stryder, one of the surviving humans in a struggle against alien parasites called Souls.

Armie Hammer has won a royal role.

The actor, who broke through last year in ‘The Social Network,’ will play Prince Andrew Alcott in the upcoming ‘Snow White’ film that features Julia Roberts as the evil Queen.

Producers have yet to cast the title role, although ‘Atonement’ star Saoirse Ronan is believed to be the frontrunner.
