IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon, who was part of a massive 15-car crash on Sunday at the Las Vegas Indy 300, has died.

Wheldon’s car flew over another vehicle in the pile-up, which left cars shredded and in flames across the racetrack.

This year’s Indianapolis 500 winner, Wheldon was transported by helicopter to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
