A so-called “insider” for the tabloid reveals, “Jessica and Ashlee are butting heads over the direction of the clothes,” explaining, “Jess prefers girly frills like lace and flowers,” while her younger sister “wants a more punk rock look.”

According to the supposed source, “Their disagreements have set off a virtual World War III with them screaming at each other in front of underlings.” Seriously?

Ashlee Simpson has a new guy in Vincent Piazza, but the National Enquirer insists it was actually Jessica Simpson who pushed her younger sister toward the actor and away from a reconciliation with ex Pete Wentz.

According to the magazine’s so-called “insider,” Ashlee considered getting back together with Wentz until Jessica “quickly stepped in and said NO WAY!”

The mag’s “sources” say the younger Simpson, who last February filed for divorce from Pete Wentz, “is not handling [the breakup] well,” and is “downing eight to 10 bottles of wine a week” to cope with the “painful split.” Whoa… really?

The singer-actress was spotted in New York kissing and holding hands with actor Vincent Piazza, who plays gangster Lucky Luciano on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire.”

Pete Wentz is taking his soon-to-be ex-wife Ashlee Simpson to court for joint custody of their two-year-old son Bronx.

When Simpson filed for divorce from Wentz on February 9, Simpson requested primary physical custody and joint legal custody of their son, but now Wentz wants joint physical custody, according to papers filed yesterday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
