Andy Whitfield, who starred on the Starz show, “Spartacus: Blood and Sand,” died today of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in Sydney, Australia.

Whitfield’s wife, Vashti, said in a statement that her husband was a “beautiful young warrior” who died on a “sunny Sydney morning” in the “arms of his loving wife.” Whitfield was 39.
