As expected, the two music icons join longtime judge Randy Jackson for the show’s tenth season.

Ryan Seacrest is going to make the official announcement on Wednesday about who will join Randy Jackson at the judges’ table when “American Idol” kicks off its 10th season.

Seacrest tweeted, “Looks like I have some new plans on wed! I will be able to introduce the @AmericanIdol judges panel!” “Can’t wait,” he added. Are you excited?

Steven Tyler’s voice may be hoarse from belting out Aerosmith classics, but it doesn’t sound like that will stop him from dishing out opinions on “American Idol.”

Speculation about who might replace Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres on television’s top-rated show reached a fever pitch, but Tyler was on no one’s radar last week when Gossip Cop got a solid tip and broke the worldwide exclusive that he and Jennifer Lopez had been offered jobs.

The ninth season of American Idol is well underway, and some huge stars have visited the audition process as guest judges.

Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Shania Twain, Kristin Chenoweth, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, Neil Patrick Harris, and Joe Jonas have joined Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi, and, of course, Simon Cowell to sample some of the country’s best (and worst) talent.
