Jennifer Aniston’s “Cancer Drama!” is Just Tabloid Scare Tactic

Truth rating: 0
(GettyImages.com)

“Jennifer Aniston Cancer Drama!” screams the headline of a misleading National Enquirer story that promises to reveal the “shocking reason” behind her decision to direct a movie about the disease.

As Gossip Cop reported, the actress – along with Demi Moore, Alicia Keys and others – will direct a short film as part of Lifetime’s ‘Project Five’ anthology series looking at breast cancer’s impact.

Apparently, the Enquirer didn’t think that was sufficiently newsworthy, because the tabloid opts to use the sensitive topic to cook up some phony alarm.

Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore and Alicia Keys will direct short films about breast cancer as part of Lifetime’s “Project Five” anthology.

The movie will “use humor and drama to focus on the effect that breast cancer and its diagnosis have on relationships and the way women perceive themselves, while searching for strength, comfort, medical breakthroughs and, ultimately, a cure,” said the network.

So far, there are no further details about the content of Aniston, Moore or Keys’ short pieces.
