Adam Lambert is returning to “American Idol.”

Last season’s runner-up made the announcement on Twitter. “Yes, I have been booked on Idol! Can’t reveal the date yet but it’s a ways off…,” Lambert writes.

He adds, “Kris and Allison were awesome last night,” referring to Season 8 winner Kris Allen and fourth-place finisher Allison Iraheta, both of whom performed on Thursday’s telecast.
