Roseanne Barr and her former TV husband John Goodman may return to the TV screen together this fall.

Goodman has reportedly been cast in Barr’s NBC pilot, “Downwardly Mobile.”

Barr, who is also producing, would play the owner of a trailer park while Goodman would co-star as her friend and one of the park’s workers, according to Deadline.

The stars previously played one of TV’s most famous married couples in the sitcom Roseanne, which aired on ABC from 1988 to 1997.

During a “Reality Show Roundup” segment on “The View” Thursday, Barbara Walters made a big confession.

She thinks “The Bachelor” is “stupid.”

“I finally saw this show. It’s an ABC show. They may fire me,” Walters began after watching a clip from Monday’s “Bachelor,” where Ben Flajnik had a very awkward make-out session.

She continued, “It’s a stupid show. All these gorgeous women are going after this guy who – well, I’m gonna say it – is less than gorgeous.”

“All these women are mad about him,” Walters pointed out, asking “What am I missing?”

Kim Kardashian will co-host an upcoming episode of “Live with Kelly,” it was announced on Wednesday.

The reality star, who has appeared on the show previously as a guest, will join host Kelly Ripa on January 23.

The chat show has featured many celebrity guest co-hosts in recent weeks, including Jerry Seinfeld and Rob Lowe, as the search for Regis Philbin’s replacement continues.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Lowe and ABC are in talks for him to possibly join the show as Ripa’s permanent co-host.

On Monday, Kardashian’s ex Reggie Bush had his own turn in the co-host’s chair.

Minka Kelly has something in common with her ex Derek Jeter — they both suddenly have some extra free time on their hands.

ABC announced today that it has pulled the plug on the “Charlie’s Angels” remake starring Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh.

The show premiered in September to poor ratings and even worse reviews.

The network has shut down production, but will continue to air the already-filmed episodes.

Chaz Bono will reportedly have special security to protect him against possible harm on “Dancing with the Stars.”

There haven’t been any specific threats made against Bono, who was born a woman but is now a transgendered man, but ABC is taking the added precaution because of the controversy sparked by his casting on the show.

He’ll have protection when he’s filming the show as well as when he’s off the set, according to TMZ.

A spokeswoman for the show tells Gossip Cop, “We never comment on security.”

Last season, the network provided security for Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas after they received death threats upon making it into the show’s final round.

“All good things eventually come to an end, and in the eighth and final season, the stakes for everyone on Wisteria Lane are at an all-time high,” the network said in a release.

The cast, including Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, and Eva Longoria, was “not completely” shocked about the series ending, said its creator Marc Cherry.

Cherry told the Television Critics Association’s session today, “I’ve spoken to over half of them. It was actually kind of bittersweet and lovely, because the women knew that it was a possibility, but they didn’t know [for sure], so there was a touch of shock, but not completely.”

“All My Children” and “One Life to Live” have been saved!

The long-running soap operas, canceled by ABC in April and set to expire in the next few months, will instead continue their stories thanks to a just-announced licensing deal.

A company called Prospect Park has worked out the multi-year, multi-platform agreement, which will allow both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” to survive beyond their respective broadcast terminations in September and January.

Under the terms of the arrangement, “the programs will continue to be delivered with the same quality and in the same format and length.”

“One Life to Live” has been on ABC since 1968. “All My Children” debuted in 1970.

Rihanna and Chris Brown have hooked up again — online.

Just two and a half months after Brown’s stay-away order was lifted, allowing him to be in contact with his ex-girlfriend who he assaulted in 2009, the two are now actually following each other on Twitter.

But don’t read too much more into that.

When a Rihanna fan tweeted a few hours ago at the singer, “I never thought you would go back to him! You better not, its your life but you do have ppl that look up to you. e.g young girls,” Rihanna quickly replied, “its f**kin twitter, not the alter! calm down.”

In March, Brown had a violent outburst backstage at “Good Morning America” that included smashing a window with a chair after he was asked about Rihanna.

Charlie Sheen explains to Andrea Canning in his upcoming “20/20” interview that the reason he’s speaking up now is “there’s some wrongs to be righted, and there’s some stories to tell that people need to hear my side of it.”

Sheen, who has already ranted day after day on radio shows, taped his first TV interview over the weekend.

“I have one speed. I have one gear. Go! And I dare you to keep up with me,” Sheen tells Canning while, at times, flanked by his two girlfriends.

In addition to addressing the production shut down of “Two and a Half Men” and his very public feud with the show’s creator and executive producer, Chuck Lorre, Sheen announces, “I am on a drug – it’s called Charlie Sheen.”

The full hourlong interview will air Tuesday on “20/20,” as well as on “Good Morning America” tomorrow and Tuesday. Portions will also be on the network’s website.

Charlie Sheen, who has ranted day after day on radio shows and spoken to sites like TMZ and RadarOnline, is now taping his first TV interview to air across ABC.

The hourlong interview will air Tuesday on “20/20,” as well as on “Good Morning America” on Monday and Tuesday. Portions will also be on the network’s website.

Sheen will address his controversial comments, the shutting down of production of “Two and a Half Men,” and his very public feud with Chuck Lorre.

Back in April, after Nicollette Sheridan was let go from “Desperate Housewives,” the actress sued ABC and the show’s creator Marc Cherry, who she accused of having hit her on the set.

Sheridan claimed that on September 24, 2008, after a dispute about a particular line in the script, Cherry “took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head.”

The actress said that after she complained about the alleged incident, ABC fired her in retaliation.

Today, however, Sheridan agreed to drop the emotional and physical abuse claims from her $20 million lawsuit. And in exchange, the network and Cherry will not ask her to undergo a physical and psychological evaluation.

Sheridan is still suing for wrongful termination and gender discrimination.

Jimmy Kimmel has signed on to another two years, his rep confirms to Gossip Cop.

With his contract up next month, ABC locked down Kimmel to continue hosting his late-night show, ”Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” meaning the funnyman will be on the air for at least his 10th season.

Kimmel currently edges out both Jimmy Fallon and Craig Ferguson for total viewers.

RadarOnline claims it has “learned exclusively that Dancing with the Stars has been eyeing” Lindsay Lohan for next season.

“Dancing with the Stars producers have had Lindsay on their wish list of castmates for a very long time,” a source tells the site.

“The producers were concerned about her erratic behavior, but they are taking another look at asking her to come on for the next season because she is doing so well at her sober living facility,” says RadarOnline’s source, who adds, “The girl can dance.”

So, is Lohan ready to rumba?

Nope.

There’s almost no chance Lohan will cha cha since a “Dancing with the Stars” production insider tells Gossip Cop they “haven’t heard her name” in the mix.

As a matter of policy, a rep for the show would not comment on any potential cast members.

Amidst the turmoil in her personal life, Eva Longoria has got a whole lot going on professionally.

Longoria and her production company, Unbelievable Entertainment, are currently working on three new television shows.

The actress has teamed up with “Cold Case” star Kathryn Morris to develop and executive produce “Sendera,” a soap about two wealthy families battling for power, land and sex in a border town in Texas. The series is in the works at ABC.

Longoria will also be collaborating with ABC on “Parenting By Committee,” about four single women whose lives drastically change when one discovers she’s pregnant and they decide to raise the baby together without a man.

The third project, being looked at by Starz, is an eight-part  historical series called “Aztec,” and it’s about the 16th century empire prior to the Spanish invasion.

Barbara Walters has announced almost all the names of her “10 Most Fascinating People.”

She’s holding back two names for now, and will announce the year’s Most Fascinating Person when the show broadcasts on December 9 on ABC.

So far, the list reads as follows: Justin Bieber, Betty White, LeBron James, the cast of “Jersey Shore,” future queen Kate Middleton, Sarah Palin, “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez, and Sandra Bullock.

“Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart turn down Dancing with the Stars?” asks an article on Examiner.com.

The author of the post claims that according to his “sources in the know at a public relations firm that does business with several Twilight cast members, both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were asked to participate in season 12 of Dancing with the Stars.”

The article then states, “Specific details aren’t yet available, other than the concrete reality that neither star will be dancing any time soon.”

Want to know why there aren’t any “specific details”?

Simply, because this NEVER happened.

Firstly, there isn’t a single “public relations firm that does business with several Twilight cast members.”

In fact, the top stars of the Twilight Saga are scattered among many different PR firms. And Pattinson doesn’t even have a press agent.

Still, Gossip Cop looked into this, and there isn’t one shred of evidence that Pattinson and Stewart were even approached by ABC to appear on the show.

It’s simply untrue – no way to dance around that.

There’s yet another scare on “Dancing with the Stars.”

Gossip Cop has confirmed reports that finalists Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas have received death threats.

The threats began last week when the dancing duo made it to the finals on the show.

In light of the emergency scare last Friday, we’re told there will be added security onset tonight.

A source connected to the hit competition series says, “There’s always a lot of security,” adding the stars’ security is a huge priority.

“Desperate times for Housewives as Teri Hatcher quits,” reads the headline of a Daily Mail story, which got picked up by outlets around the world.

According to a source for the British tab, “Teri has given in her notice and is making active preparations to move on.”

The article notes that “while bosses are keen to keep the hit show running for at least two more seasons, insiders say the drama… won’t work without Hatcher, meaning that the next season will be the last.”

“Some of the crew are disappointed in Teri, they feel like she is abandoning the show that revived her career,” adds a so-called “insider.”

Wow, this is nearly as dramatic as some of the show’s plotlines.

And equally fictitious.

An ABC rep for the show tells Gossip Cop that there’s “no truth to this rumor.”

George Clooney, Will Smith, Gwyneth Paltrow, Denzel Washington, and Renee Zellweger are among the celebs who have just joined the September 10 “Stand Up to Cancer” telethon, which will raise money to combat the deadly disease.

A number of musicians are slated to perform, including Stevie Wonder, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Lady Antebellum, Queen Latifah, Neil Diamond, Leona Lewis, and Martina McBride.

The first “Stand Up to Cancer” telethon in 2008 raised more than $100 million.

This year’s event will air on ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and on a number of cable channels, including E!, HBO, Showtime, and VH1.

Jesse Csincsak and Ann Lueders officially aren’t a Bachelor and Bachelorette anymore.

The former contestants on the two ABC series tied the knot last night in Las Vegas.

Lueders is four months pregnant with the couple’s first child, a boy.

Among the guests at their nuptials were other past “Bachelor” participants including, Vienna Girardi, and married couple Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney Mesnick.

Interestingly, the bride and Molly Malaney vied for Jason Mesnick on “The Bachelor,” and Mesnick and the groom competed against each other for DeAnna Pappas on a season of “The Bachelorette.”

Fortunately, it ended up well for both the Mesnicks and Csincsaks.

The much-hyped on-screen reunion of former couple Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi aired on ABC last night with plenty of tears but few new revelations.

As the one-time “Bachelor” star and his ex argued about who really dumped who, the two rehashed the interviews they each gave to magazines last month.

With teen heartthrob, actor and father already attached to his name, Rob Lowe is set to take on one more title: author.

“Stories I Only Tell My Friends,” Lowe’s first memoir, will reflect on his experiences with both parenting and acting.

According to publisher Henry Holt and Co., the book can be described as “a mid-career meditation on his four decades as an actor.”

Lowe, who has two sons, recently left the ABC series “Brothers & Sisters.”

“Friends” is scheduled for a May 2011 release.

A tense reunion between Vienna Girardi and Jake Pavelka turned ugly, according to multiple reports.

The “Bachelor” star and his former flame allegedly became combative while taping a two-hour ABC special set to air on July 5.

RadarOnline claims Pavelka became so angry at one point he pulled his arm back while making a fist in a “shocking display” that made observers believe he was “getting ready to throw a punch.” The site also reports that Pavelka told Girardi to “shut up” three times in a row.

Other outlets corroborate the story that things were unpleasant at the meeting, but UsMagazine.com cites an “insider” who disputes Radar’s claim that Pavelka nearly threw a punch.

According to the second version of events, Girardi continually cut off Pavelka’s responses to host Chris Harrison‘s questions, leading the (again) bachelor to stand up and ask, “Will you just let me finish?”

Like Radar, TMZ reports “Jake exploded in anger,” and “cocked his arm and made a fist in Vienna’s direction.”

But the site also quotes a “production insider,” who claims, “Vienna was in such a rage, if there was anyone to fear it was her.”

In a statement to Gossip Cop, reps for ABC said, “Former ‘The Bachelor’ participants Jake and Vienna taped an interview last night. As this was the first time the two had seen one another since their recent breakup, the atmosphere was emotionally charged. However, and contrary to reports that have surfaced about the interview, at no time was anyone ever physically in harm’s way, nor was anyone ever threatened with physical violence.”

Pavelka and Girardi announced their split on Tuesday.

As bad as Hollyscoop is at reporting, you have to marvel at the site’s tenacity and fierceness to go against the grain and ignore criticism – as well as the facts.

Today, the site embarrasses itself with a post under the headline, “Kate Gosselin Gets Her Own Dating Show.”

“Kate Gosselin is on fire!” further declares the site, which gets burned when it reports, “Not only does she have her own show, Kate Plus 8, on TLC, she’s getting her own dating show.”

But rather than checking the accuracy of the dating show rumor, Hollyscoop lazily quotes a so-called “insider” telling the equally off-base Life & Style, “Kate’s working on a deal to do a new reality dating series on ABC.”

NO, SHE’S NOT.

Of course, Hollyscoop is joined by journalism’s other joker, Perez Hilton, who similarly proclaimed, “Kate Gosselin Trying To Get a Dating Show!”

Gossip Cop, on the other hand, fact-checked with an ABC source in the know as well as a Gosselin spokesperson, and both said there was absolutely “no truth” to the tale.

What’s scarier – the thought of Gosselin getting her own dating show or Perez Hilton’s and Hollyscoop’s reporting skills?

Life & Style has a curious story, picked up by outlets, that claims “ABC would love to score” Lindsay Lohan for “Dancing with the Stars.”

“Lindsay is the perfect candidate. Who wouldn’t want to see Lindsay do it?” the tabloid quotes a so-called “insider” as saying.

The Chicago Sun-Times goes even further, claiming Lohan’s being “advised” by several people “to try for a slot on the next season of ‘Dancing With the Stars.’”

That’s all very nice and interesting, but is Lohan really considering it?

Gossip Cop reached out to the actress, who laughed off the rumor, and told us, “Not for me.”

According to the magazine, “ABC offered him $500,000 to be on Dancing With the Stars next season — but he turned down the opportunity.”

Really?

Gosselin told Us Weekly, “After seeing what the show did to Kate [Gosselin] and the kids, I wouldn’t put them through that again.”

Gossip Cop, however, was told by a source involved with the dance competition show that the reportedly cash-strapped father of eight wasn’t even offered a $500,000 gig to turn down.

“If they’re saying they’re being offered, they’re not being offered,” said the production source, who noted Levi Johnston and others have pulled the same ploy.

A rep for ABC would only say, “We never comment on casting rumors.”

“Despite big pitches, allegedly from producers for Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Walters and Larry King, Sandra Bullock supposedly is currently planning on first discussing her marriage challenges — thanks to cheatin’ hubby Jesse James – on good buddy George Lopez‘s talk show,” reports the Chicago Sun-Times.

The Sun-Times says the interview will take place in November when ”Lopez Tonight” moves into its midnight slot, following the new Conan O’Brien show.

So why does the paper state Bullock will sit down and dish with Lopez?

“Friendship pays off,” writes the Sun-Times, noting how Lopez has been in close contact with his dear friend Bullock, who exec produced his ABC sitcom, “George Lopez.”

Similar reports have popped up elsewhere making the same claim.

And none of them is inaccurate.

A rep for Bullock tells Gossip Cop, “There are no plans for her to be on the show,” adding, “Nothing has even been discussed.”

“Working with Kate Gosselin is a tough job,” reports Star magazine, which claims her “Dancing with the Stars” partner “Tony Dovolani is getting paid extra for his trouble!”

According to a so-called “insider,” “Tony’s getting about $100 more an hour” because of Gosselin’s “diva antics” and her generally being “a major pain.”

Just as a point of note: None of the dancers get paid by the hour, nor is there any sort of dancing partner hazard clause.

That said, Gossip Cop still looked into this, and guess what? 

It’s wrong.

We also reached out to a rep for the show, who told us the Star story is “entirely untrue.”
