Summit Entertainment has just announced that Breaking Dawn Part 1, the fourth installment in the Twilight Saga, has grossed an estimated $701.3 million globally since the film was released in November.

Breaking Dawn Part 1 , starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, is also on its way to becoming the highest grossing film in the series.

The film is just a few million dollars away from passing New Moon, which took in $709.8 million.

There’s a chance The Twilight Saga could continue after the fifth film opens in November.

The bombshell was reportedly dropped by Jon Feltheimer, the chief executive officer of Lionsgate Entertainment, which acquired Twilight studio Summit Entertainment for $412.5 million on Friday.

“Was Ashley Greene bitten by a vampire in real life?” asks Star, which writes that the Twilight actress “inadvertently revealed what looked like scars from two puncture wounds on her right thigh during a Breaking Dawn event in Chicago.”

Starving for scandal, the tabloid showed a  photograph of Greene’s leg (right) to an “L.A. based plastic surgeon,” who says, “It’s possible they’re liposuction scars… Poorly done liposuction can result in dents and divots similar to the ones evident on Ms. Greene’s thigh.”
