Twentieth Century Fox is pulling advertisements for the upcoming comedy film Neighborhood Watch in the wake of Trayvon Martin’s death.

The unarmed Florida teen was fatally shot last month following an altercation with neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman.

But because of the eerily similar nature of the Neighborhood Watch poster (see photo left), which mimics a neighborhood watch street sign that’s been damaged by bullet holes, Fox has opted to pull them from Florida theaters.

Trayvon Martin Will Ferrell

A fake Will Ferrell Twitter account duped news outlets into believing the star had entered the discussion about slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, supposedly promising charitable donations and demanding capital punishment for Martin’s killer.

Over the weekend, @RealFerrellWill – which does NOT belong to the actual Ferrell, who does NOT tweet – told followers, “R.I.P. Trayvon Martin. For every R-T this tweet gets, $1 will be donated to the #TrayvonMartinFoundation, which helps counteract racism.”
