Rob Lowe is king of the tabloid movie.

The actor, who just did a highly successful turn as real-life alleged wife murderer Drew Peterson, is now set to star in a Lifetime movie about acquitted child killer Casey Anthony.

Lowe will portray prosecutor Jeff Ashton in Prosecuting Casey Anthony, which is based on the controversial 2011 trial of the Florida mom accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee.

“They were having a great time and looked like a couple,” says the mag, adding, “They were playfully touching and whispering in each other’s ears.”
