Redmond O’Neal, the troubled son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal, dodged jail today after pleading no contest to felony gun and heroin possession.

An L.A. Superior Court judge ordered O’Neal to spend one year in rehab and placed him on five years of probation.

O’Neal was arrested on August 2 after he failed to stop for a red arrow signal in Santa Monica. Police found heroin, marijuana and a gun in his possession.

Ryan O’Neal’s 46-year-old son Griffin O’Neal was hospitalized after a car accident in San Diego yesterday, just hours after his half brother Redmond was busted for marijuana and heroin possession in Santa Monica.

Authorities say O’Neal veered into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle. He was trapped in his car, and had to be helped out by the fire department.

Redmond O’Neal, the troubled son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal, was arrested again today after he failed to stop for a red arrow signal in Santa Monica.

When the police pulled over O’Neal, they found heroin and marijuana in his possession, Santa Monica Police Department spokesman Sgt. Richard Lewis, confirms to Gossip Cop.
