Rob Lowe dishes about growing up with Charlie Sheen and shares excerpts from his upcoming book, “Stories I Only Tell My Friends: An Autobiography” in the new issue of Vanity Fair.

“We competed to see who could play harder, then show up for work and still kick ass,” says Lowe of filming ‘Masquerade’ in 1987, while Sheen shot ‘Wall Street.’ “The verdict: Charlie by a nose.”

Demi Moore has been meeting with publishers in New York about selling a book she’s currently writing.

And while her agent confirmed that it was a “memoir,” prompting numerous outlets, including Gossip Cop, to wonder aloud about what she might write about, we’re told, at present, her ideas are “too broad now to identify what type of book it is,” but it’s definitely “not a memoir.”

Patrick Swayze, who will be best remembered for the films “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost,” passed away today after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Swayze was 57. His rep released the following statement: “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months.” No other details were given.
