Kim Kardashian wasn’t just protecting her image by suing Old Navy for using look-alike model Melissa Molinaro in an ad campaign – she was securing her brand.

The reality star reportedly took action because the Old Navy tactic could damage a major deal she has in place with rival Sears for the Kardashian Kollection line of merchandise.

By using Molinaro, Old Navy is alleged to have created confusion in the marketplace, making it seem as though Kardashian is endorsing two different retail giants.

The reality star claims the brand intentionally used Molinaro, who bears an uncanny likeness to Kardashian, in order to mislead the public into thinking she was affiliated with the clothing company.

Yep, the football star has been seeing actress/singer Melissa Molinaro for a few months now.

If Molinaro looks a little familiar it’s because the Canadian beauty starred in an Old Navy ad that had some viewers thinking it was Kardashian herself.
