LeBron James is engaged.

The NBA star proposed to longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson on New Year’s Eve.

The couple, who have two sons together, were celebrating James’ 27th birthday (which fell on Friday).

Earlier this week, Betty White was crowned America’s “favorite and most trusted” celebrity in a poll conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs.

White, Denzel Washington and Sandra Bullock led the pack of 100 pre-selected public figures (politicians excluded), with the trio each getting a “favorable” opinion from at least 84% of respondents.

But which celebrities ended up on the other end of the spectrum?

Gloria James, mother of LeBron James, was arrested this morning in Miami Beach after allegedly assaulting a parking valet, law enforcement sources confirm to Gossip Cop.

The basketball mom reportedly got into a physical altercation with the attendant after leaving the LIV club at the Fontainebleau Hotel, where she’d been partying.

Charlie Sheen may have struck out in Detroit, and was a hit right afterwards in Chicago, but there was no denying tonight’s performance in Cleveland was a home run.

The “Major League” star won over the hometown audience right from the start when he walked onto the stage of the State Theater in a Cleveland Indians jersey.

That was the first of Sheen’s standing ovations. Like the Chicago show, Sheen took questions from a moderator as well as from the audience, and touched on such subjects as his life, career and marriages.

On December 31, 2009, MediaFakeOut – as it’s also known – reported that Diddy was “MARRYING KIM PORTER . . . AT MIDNIGHT.”

Midnight came and went, and of course Diddy did NOT get married.

This New Year’s Eve, the site claimed, “IT’S OFFICIAL!! KANYE WEST AND KIM KARDASHIAN ARE DATING,” and were wrong again.
