Kristen Stewart is going “gay” while Robert Pattinson’s away, claims the National Enquirer.

The tabloid, which has published a litany of embarrassingly wrong stories about the actress in recent months, now says that Stewart’s friendship with Katy Perry’s assistant Tamra Natisin is more than it seems.

“Rob will hit the roof when he sees photos of Kristen and Tamra hanging out together,” a so-called “insider” tells the Enquirer. “It’s obvious to all of her friends that there’s a romance brewing between them.”

Except HollywoodLife felt the need to add a bogus “exclusive” angle to the story, quoting a “source” as speculating that Stewart would “fly out there” anyway.

Now the blog is — surprise! — saying the exact opposite.

The make-believe journalists at HollywoodLife are borrowing from the sloppy reporters at In Touch, and the results are hilariously bad.

On Thursday, Jay Penske’s amateurish webloid, which has misled readers about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart for years, picked up an In Touch story that claims the actor is essentially “shutting Kristen out” as he films The Rover in Australia.

According to Star, Kristen Stewart has been “taking full advantage of her newfound freedom” with Robert Pattinson off in Australia.

“When she was at pal Taylor Lautner’s birthday part in L.A. on Feb. 9, Rob seemed to be the furthest thing from Kristen’s mind — she was seen hitting on 19-year-old Patrick Schwarzenegger,” reports the tabloid.

According to a “source” for OK!, the Twilight stars “aren’t together right now.”

“They’re taking a break for obvious reasons: He’s in Australia [filming The Rover] and she’s in L.A. And they need time to see what else is out there in the world,” explains the tab’s insider. “They’ve decided they need to date other people.”
