Justin Timberlake is a Grammy Award-winning American actor, producer and recording artist whose hits include “Rock Your Body” and “Cry Me A River.” He was an original member of the 1990s/2000s pop band *NSYNC before embarking on a solo career in 2002.
Timberlake was born January 31, 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee, and grew up singing in his church choir. He appeared (as Justin Randall) on the TV talent competition “Star Search” at age 11 and was soon after invited to join the cast of “The New Mickey Mouse Club.” His co-stars included future pop icons Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. Timberlake and Spears began to date in the late 1990s as both were enjoying worldwide fame. He later became romantically involved with actress Cameron Diaz.
The singer has released four studio albums: “Justified” (2002), “FutureSex/LoveSounds” (2006), “The 20/20 Experience” (2012) and “The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2” (2013). He has won nine Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 10 Billboard Music Awards, and 11 MTV Video Music Awards. Timberlake also earned four Emmy Awards, including two for his guest appearances on “Saturday Night Live.” While hosting the late night comedy show in December 2006, he appeared with Andy Samberg in the now-classic musical sketch “Dick In A Box.”
Timberlake has been seen in numerous films, most notably “The Social Network,” in which he portrayed controversial Internet tycoon and founder of Napster, Sean Parker. Off screen, Timberlake was an investor in the website Myspace. He also opened several restaurants and founded his own label, Tennman Records.
Timberlake, once named the “Most Stylish Man in America” by GQ magazine, married Jessica Biel, the star of TV’s “7th Heaven,” in Puglia, Italy in October 2012. The couple welcomed a son, Silas, in April 2015.

Justin Timberlake is being sued by Cirque du Soleil for allegedly stealing part of their song “Steel Dream” for his tune, “Don’t Hold The Wall.” According to a new lawsuit filed in New York, Timberlake and co-writer and co-producer Timbaland sampled a part of the troupe’s 1997 song without prior permission or authorization.Read more...
