Devastated by Whitney Houston’s death, Tony Bennett called for the legalization of drugs before performing a song in her honor at Clive Davis’s pre-Grammys bash.

The crooner’s point appeared to be that Houston – whose cause of death has not been determined – was only the latest casualty of drug policy that forces people to take risks.

“First it was Michael Jackson, then Amy Winehouse, now the magnificent Whitney Houston,” said the legendary singer on stage. “I’d like every person in this room to campaign to legalize drugs.”

Miley Cyrus and John Mayer are hooking up, according to Star magazine.

The mag says sparks “ignited” between the two at Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammys party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 12. “She followed John around all night like a puppy dog,” an eyewitness tells the tab, adding that, “She would put her arm around his waist, and even grabbed his behind,” and Mayer “reciprocated” her attentions. Really?!
