The Republicans had Clint Eastwood, and the Democrats have Kal Penn.

Penn, who has worked for President Obama, spoke on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief at Tuesday’s Democratic National Convention.

President Obama said on Saturday, “I am a huge Clint Eastwood fan.”

The remark comes on the heels of Eastwood’s 12-minute improvised speech at the Republican National Convention during which he “interviewed” an empty chair that was supposed to signify an “invisible” and absentee president.

Clint Eastwoods interesting speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night has drawn mixed reactions from Hollywood.

Speaking on Mitt Romneys behalf, the Unforgiven star addressed an invisible President Obama in an empty chair, calling him out on a number of policies.

Soon after, a slew of stars, such as Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and even the President himself, took to Twitter to respond to Eastwood’s unconventional address.

Clint Eastwood has officially endorsed Mitt Romney.

The Oscar-winning movie icon attended a Friday night fundraiser for the Republican presidential candidate in Sun Valley, Idaho, declaring, “Now more than ever do we need Governor Romney. I’m going to be voting for him.”

Eastwood told reporters, “I think the country needs a boost.”
