Did Taylor Swift gear up for her recent late night performance by giving Taylor Lautner some music lessons well after twilight? The good people at Star say yes… and that the werewolf from “New Moon” sounded like one. But maybe it’s the tab’s story that’s out of tune.

The magazine claims Swift gave Lautner some guitar lessons during an Oct. 25 stay at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel – “with dismal results.” One of Star’s magical “sources” says “it sounded like heaven” when Swift played the guitar, but when Lautner tried “it was awful!”

And when Lautner began to sing? “His voice was ear-pounding,” continues Star’s so-called “insider,” who adds that guests couldn’t stand the noise so much so that they forced the front desk to call the Taylors, who “apologized and promised to quiet down.”

Gossip Cop finds this Taylor & Taylor musical combo to be more like some sort of Fantasia. No one with whom we spoke could confirm this off-key tale, even though it seems like the stars’ every move is followed. We also reached out to the hotel and reps for both Taylors, and none had heard a word about this either. Lautner’s rep called the werewolf’s musical howling story “total nonsense.”

Once again, Star has struck a bad note.
