Busting bad dish!

Tab takes ‘Bachelorette’ nude photo scandal to new low

Truth rating: 1

(Star magazine)

“Ali Caught in Nude Photo Scandal,” reads a headline about “Bachelorette” star Ali Fedotowsky in this week’s Star magazine .

The tab writes that Fedotowsky is “the latest celebrity caught up in a nude-photo scandal.”

Sound familiar?

It should.

Star magazine, which is often too lazy to fact-check, is this time too careless even to re-write the verbiage used by bad blogger Zack Taylor, who “reported” earlier this week that Fedotowsky was “the latest celebrity to be allegedly caught in a nude photo scandal.”

And while Gossip Cop already debunked Taylor’s talk of a “nude photo scandal,” somehow or another Star manages to find a full page-plus to tout his completely inaccurate story.

The rag even quotes the publicity-starved blogger as saying the photos came to him “out of the blue,” and that “there’s no way of knowing whether it really is Ali or not.”

Nevertheless, that was good enough for Star magazine to go ahead and publish the screengrabs from the same guy who once (wrongly) claimed to have images from a purported Ke$ha sex tape.

As we said a few days ago, a source at ABC assures Gossip Cop the shots Star uses of the woman with her back to the camera are not of Fedotowsky.

Who’s lamer – Taylor for peddling a false report or Star for publishing it?

I think that both of them should be blamed. They should have fact checked it. Then I don’t think that they wanted to.
Like I said, I would sue both. Negligence is on both parties. Then of course, Star is noted as being trashy.
