Tab starts Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes fight

Truth rating: 2

In Touch has a cover that reads, “Tom vs. Katie: The Fight for Suri.”

Forget the fact that the youngster might see herself on the magazine’s cover while she’s out with her parents, and become confused as to why there’s a picture of her on In Touch (of all magazines).

Instead, let’s focus on the latest offering from the tab. In Touch claims that as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes approach their third wedding anniversary – two weeks from yesterday – the two stars are fighting over Suri’s education.

Holmes, according to In Touch, wants Suri to attend a Catholic school, the way she did as a child, but Cruise wants his daughter educated in the principals of Scientology.

The article goes on about how Holmes has “grown disenchanted with Scientology in the past year and disagrees with many of its tenets regarding raising children,” and that recently “the fighting got so bad” between her and Cruise.

But here’s the part Gossip Cop loves the most about these tabs. The rag writes, “While the pair has made a point of going out together in public – most recently they were spotted jogging through Boston in what another confidante describes as a ‘planned photo op’ – the tension between them in private is commonplace.”

So, once again, we’re not supposed to believe what we see, but instead take the word of unnamed sources talking about Cruise and Holmes’ private moments?

Conversely, Cruise’s rep went on the record to tell Gossip Cop that the cover story is “utterly false and ridiculous.” Also, Gossip Cop is hearing from a source connected to Holmes that they may be “dealing with [the story] legally.”
